Capítulo 6: Chapter 6
He glanced at Harry, who was busy stuffing his trunk and other things away before looking outside. The Weasley family appeared from a wall and began their family discussions.
Harry sat down and when he looked at Alex, he saw him staring right at him. He wondered for how long he was doing that and all the staring made him a bit uncomfortable.
"What's wrong?" he asked, and Alex simply shook his head.
A few seconds passed and Alex voiced out, "You are Harry Potter, aren't you?"
"H..How did you know?"
"Hmm… well… You are probably the only person of my age who lost his parents. Atleast someone that I know of. The whole world knows about you and well… anyone who has a bit of brain can guess that you are Harry after hearing that your parents passed away and after seeing that scar that you're trying to hide so bad.
There are chances of others of my age being orphans too like me and you, but it is highly unlikely."
Harry stared at him for a few second before asking, "You lost your parents too?"
"Uhh… yes. I lost them both last year and since then, I had to live on my own."
"How did you live on your own? I mean, how did you get food and stuff?" Harry asked, not knowing how someone could survive like that.
"Well, magic. I have a… servant you can say. They are generally called as house elves and they can do magic pretty well. He basically makes me my food."
"Oh, okay. That sounds cool." Harry said, his eyes wide with excitement for reasons Alex couldn't understand but he still nodded.
"By the way, I was a bit too excited to go to school last night that I couldn't fall asleep so I'll be sleeping now. Oh and…. if my wand falls off my hand, put it back in my pocket, will you?" Alex said as he pointed his wand at himself.
"Huh, what do you mean?"
"You'll understand when u see it happen." Alex replied before muttering something.
A pink spark hit his chest, making him extremely drowsy. His hands dropped down and the wand rolled out, falling on the floor. He was fast asleep, at least that's what it looked to Harry.
He picked up the wand, amused to see magic performed in front of him even though he had seen the half giant do it before.
After tucking the wand in Alex's pocket safely, he looked outside to see a family of red heads who stood out from the rest of the crowd.
Alex's eyelids went up by a milli-meter before falling back down.
'Ah man… why is talking people so exhausting. I'll have to get used to this soon or I'll probably have a hard time doing the things I have to do.'
Fate seemed to work in mysterious ways as Ron had picked the boy who lived to share a compartment with and everything went well as Harry talked to Ron, who seemed a bit too excited to see the boy who lived. Their friendship clicked off right off the bat and even Alex was surprised while looking at them.
Ron tried to wake Alex up, but was stopped by Harry and instead, the two of them chatted for a while until the trolley appeared.
"Anything off the trolley dears?"
Harry bought a huge amount and Alex's stomach grumbled as he opened his eyes.
He was too busy and broke to afford fancy snacks so he had never tasted them. He looked at seat that was filled with snacks and then glanced at Harry, the rich kid of the three.
"Hungry, are you?" Ron asked.
"Starving." Harry said and looked at both of them, "Want some?"
Ron took out his dry sandwiches and placed them on the table, "I got these…"
Alex clenched his teeth before speaking up, "You can share with Harry. I'll have the sandwiches."
Ron happily placed it in Alex's hands, "My name is Ronald Weasley. You can call me Ron."
"Alex. Thanks."
They began stuffing their mouths and Harry shared the snacks with Alex too, who happily ate them as it looked like Harry was happy to give them away.
He looked at both of them and then the sandwich that was in his hand, 'Molly's sandwiches taste way better than these though…'
The three continued stuffing themselves until Neville walked in to ask about his toad before trotting off to the other compartments.
Harry and Ron talked while Alex took out his wand, slowly fidgeting with it as he waited, deep in thought as he weighed his options and it took him only a few seconds to make up his mind.
The compartment door slid open, only to forcefully shut itself as Alex waved his wand.
"Hey, that was a bit rude!" Said Harry as he opened the compartment door while Alex simply shook his head.
The bushy haired girl, Hermione glared at Alex before glancing at the other two boys, "Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one."
The conversation went exactly as Alex expected, except for the part where he ignored Hermione and skipped his introduction. As seconds passed, Hermione got more and more frustrated every time she looked at Alex.
It wasn't until she left that the tense atmosphere in the carriage was gone.
"It would've been better if you didn't open the door." Ron said as he looked at Alex and Harry.
"Yeah… Did you know this was going to happen?" asked Harry as he popped one of the all-flavoured beans into his mouth, only to spit it out, "Bleurg, what was that?"
"I didn't know anything. Just had a bad feeling."
"Oh alright."
Alex frowned slightly as he remembered something. He then stood up and walked out after saying, "I need to use the restroom."
