Capítulo 36: Under Fire

The air smelled of flames and smoke, masking the naturally hideous stench of the city. It did not help that humidity was reaching its peak as well. Alric looked up, hoping rain would fall and put out the fires. Alas, he only stared at the darkness above.

Fiera coughed. Her eyes were watery from the ashes whirled up with every step. Upon noticing her plight, Alric tore off a large piece of his shirt and handed it to her.

"Here."

"Huh?" For one moment, the succubus stood there without any reaction at all. Too alluring was the sight of his skin revealed that she found herself lost in her thoughts. Alric had to shove the cloth into her face for her to realize his gesture. "Oh. Thank you." She gingerly accepted his kindness, covering her nose and mouth with the piece of fabric.
