Since Luca was no longer at risk of going into a rut, he had removed his watch.

When he was with Sophia, he didn't want anyone to have any insight into what the two of them were doing. No one else besides the woman on the receiving end of his affection deserved to know about it.

It was another silent measure for Luca to protect her from those in his life who were against him. He never wanted her to be at risk simply for associating with him.

As Sophia looked up at him, begging for him to continue, the worries he harbored vanished to the back of his mine. All he could think of was her and what she was asking.

How she had never caught another alpha was beyond him. He simply felt lucky to have her in that moment. She was his girlfriend but it didn't fully encompass everything he felt for her.
