Humans are feeble and weak creatures, they always were. That is exactly why they were so religious. Religion offered them Hope and Courage.
It also gave them Strengh.....Literally. Humans used the powers of their Gods to fight. But only by worshipping those Gods and embracing their ways, could one become truly powerful.
As such, it is only natural that Humans would do everything to please those Gods. The problem was that Humans just were too devoted, and in their blind fanatism they started to act on their own. Doing things that the Gods never told them to do, and truly believing that they were pleasing said Gods.
Humans stole, raped, tortured and killed in the names of their Gods. But it wasn't all that bad, right ? After all the Gods never told them to stop, they even continued to protect Humanity.
So the Humans continued and that's when the true problem appear.
What would Humans do in their blind faith and fanatism, when they discover the source of power. A divine place, where power was so potent it could be seen and touched. A place where Humans would be the closest to their Gods.....The Holy Land.
It didn't matter what Gods Humans worshipped, they all felt that this land should be used to help Humanity. However, Humans were never united, they all had different beliefs and it led to War.
They went to impossible lengths to reach this land. They even went as seek the help of other Races, such as Elves and Dwarves. Races that they always hated with passion, because they were so much better than Humans in most things they did.
And so, for centuries, they battled. Be it the North, the South, the West or the East. They all wanted this land, they needed it.

(A few hours after the pillar of light disappeared)
In the capital of the Northern Kingdom things were starting to become hectic. Soldiers were moving through the streets, heading towards Main Gate of the capital. The citizens were rushing home, having heard that the King had ordered every single person that wasn't a soldier, or a noble to return home.
In the palace servants were going left and right at impressive speed. You could clearly see they were afraid, but of what ?
"MOVE YOUR ASSES YOU LAZY WASTE OF FLESH!!!!!" A giant of a man shouted at the servants. He was wearing a heavy golden armor that covered most of his body expect for his head. Every single servant disappeared from his sights when they heard him, they were clearly fearing him way too much to stay there.
The man huffed and walked towards the throne room. He kicked the gigantic door with as much strengh as he could, opening it in an instant and startling every single person inside.
"WHERE THE FUCK IS HIS MAJESTY?!!" After getting over their initial surprises, the nobles present in the room sent glares filled with disdain at the man, which he ignored as a slender red haired woman chuckled besides him.
"You truly need to calm yourself down. Wouldn't want the King to be angry at you, General ?"
"*Snort* I do whatever i want to do woman, you have no right to order me around. Talking about order, i order you to tell me where the king is !!" The man yelled at her, his face just a few milimeters from hers. Her smile widened as she put her finger on his forehead.
"You want to know ? Why do you ask ? It's not like something important happened, right?"
"NOT IMPORTANT?! A PILLAR OF LIGHT SHOOTING INTO THE SKY FROM THE HOLY LAND ISN'T IMPORTANT ?!"
The woman stopped smiling and grabbed his face, the man felt his skull crack as the woman nearly crushed his head with her monstrous strengh. She glared at him with eyes full of a rage that made him nearly piss himself.
"Did i say it was important ? No! Then it is NOT important! The Holy Land as always been something of great concern, even for me. But do not forget about all the problems that would come should we tell the King about that pillar of light. Now....Get out of my sight this instant, General~" Said the woman, with a tone that was way too sweet for the General to not sweat and nod his head furiously.
The man ran out of the room, closing the doors behind him with even more strengh than he used to open them. The woman shook her head and looked at the nobles that were all avoiding her gaze.
"My, my. It seems that i lost control for a few seconds. My dear guests, do not mind my little outburst and continue to enjoy this party!"
The woman smiled and went to a corner of the room, where she sat at a table alone.
"A pillar of light coming from the Holy Land, huh? I wonder what it is this time ?"

(At the same moment, in the Holy Land )
The Holy Land couldn't be described with simple words. Even the word beautiful wasn't enough to describe this place.
If one was to look at it, they would see how pure the land looked. There wasn't an ounce of corruption, nothing looked ugly. In fact, everything was perfect, too perfect.
The flowers glowed with a divine light. The trees were gigantic and seemed to never age. The grass more green and beautiful than any other grass in the world. Rivers and Lakes had the clearest water that any humans could ever hope to see.
But there was something in the Holy Land that would attract the attention of every single being that would come here for the first time. A mountain, that reached so high in the sky, it seemed to poke into the clouds. A tree, bigger than every other trees in this land circled around the mountain. Starting at the feet of the mountain and ending ever higher than the peak of the mountain.
It was the only tree in the world that had different leaves. Blue leaves that would give Hope to all those who would touch them. Green and Red leaves that radiated with an air of Life. Black and Purple leaves that gave off a feeling of Death. But also White leaves that glowed so much, you could see them even in the darkest night.
At the base of the tree, an entrance could be seen. It was quite large and looked like it was made for any creature to enter the tree.
But what was inside the tree ? Stairs. Stairs that went from the bottom to the top of the tree where was located a single room. It was from this room that the pillar of light was shot. And in the middle of the room stood a throne.
A throne made out of Gold and Diamonds. The throne was intimidating in a sense, but the figure that was seated on it was even more.
The figure wore a white and golden robe with a hood, from which nothing could be seen except from a mop of silver hair. Said figure stood up from the throne and walked to the other end of the room. It stopped when it reached the balcony from where the figure could see pretty much the entire land.
"*Sigh* No matter the time, no matter the place, there will always be problems, huh ? So what is it this time ? Angels, Demons, Monsters or Humans ?" Asked the figure, but it quickly understood that no one was going to answer it's question.
"This lack of answer makes me wonder if the problem isn't coming from you...Accursed Gods!"
Hope you liked it!
