Capítulo 21: CH: 21 I Can Teach You

The next day, the sun was still shining.

When Anton woke up, he discovered that Fiennes was nowhere to be found, which made him very happy.

After enjoying a good breakfast, he reopened the diary and continued to memorize the spells within it.

Anton disagrees with Fiennes's perspective and has no intention of delving into dark magic.

Considering the existence of well-established and recognized magic spells in this world, why not study those instead of dark magic?

Think of Gilderoy Lockhart, the master of Obliviate spells, and Harry Potter, the master of Disarming spells.

Anton even believes that Lockhart might not necessarily lose if he were to fight Snape.

Victory or defeat is determined in an instant, based on who successfully casts their spell first. If Snape were accidentally hit by Lockhart's Obliviate spell, not only would Snape lose his memory of the spell, but even Lily's memory could be erased.

In that case, Snape could regain his humanity.

By mastering a legitimate magic spell, Anton could not only gain social recognition but also acquire great power. He wondered if he had made a mistake by learning dark magic from Fiennes and hiding away in the shadows, unable to face people.

His current pursuit of magic serves two purposes.

One purpose is to expand his knowledge, so that in the future, he can use it as a foundation for understanding and effectively deal with attacks from dark magic.

Additionally, it serves as a temporary backup skill.

Before entering Hogwarts, he needs to possess some means of defense to ensure his survival.

If he cannot maintain extreme emotions at all times, he will strive to find ways to shorten the time required to generate those emotions.

That's all.

His mind is clear, and he knows what he wants, rather than getting lost in the descriptions of the power of dark magic in the diary.

Fiennes remained absent the entire day.

This kept Anton in a good mood throughout the day.

The good mood persisted, and it seemed that Fiennes had completely vanished, never to be seen again.

It wasn't until a full week later that Anton began packing his belongings.

He had fully memorized the contents of the diary in his mind and no longer needed to carry it with him.

Along with the textbooks that cost 4 galleons, he plans to store them in the vault of Gringotts before departing.

Then, he will leave this place.

He has thoroughly studied the location of Pedro's island, which is separated from England by a vast ocean but is close to France.

To ensure prompt follow-up on Lupin's treatment, he has decided to find a place to reside near the coast of France.

Living in an expensive bar every day is not a problem.

It was also a coincidence that just as he was about to go out and visit old Tom to check out, Fiennes appeared.

With a smile, he looked at Anton, "I know that you have always wanted to learn the Levitation charm. I noticed you pondering over it for quite some time."

Anton pursed his lips and remained silent.

Among the more than a dozen spells recorded in the first-year textbook "The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1," his favorite was the Levitation charm.

This magical spell not only enhances everyday life, but if the effect is slightly exaggerated, it closely resembles a move from an online novel he had read before - the Wizard's Hand.

Without knowing the three elements required to cast this spell, he could only try it through trial and error, but ultimately failed.

Fiennes proudly retrieved his wand from the pocket of his wizard's robe.

Although ghosts cannot cast spells, they can still pretend to use them.

"Alright."

He turned his wrist, saying, "The focal point is here, with a flick and a wave, Wingardium Leviosa!"

"The emotion required for this spell is often referred to as the wizard's will. You must ensure that the object you are releasing floats up, as if commanded by a higher power."

Fiennes was eager to teach, and Anton was not one to refuse.

He took out his wand and made repeated attempts, allowing Fiennes to correct his gestures and pronunciation errors.

Finally, the chair in the room gently floated up.

"Perfect!" Fiennes laughed and applauded.

Anton's looked conflicted as he asked, "You disappeared for so many days just to teach me this spell?"

Fiennes shrugged, "Luckily, I encountered two Hogwarts students in Hogsmeade Village who were discussing this spell."

That place is quite far away. The village is filled with powerful and serious wizards. It is a location where dark wizards cannot avoid and freely discuss. Anton wonders how Fiennes managed to overcome the fear that had been deeply rooted in his heart all these years to enter that place.

For a moment, Anton felt a mix of emotions.

"I won't thank you for that."

Fiennes chuckled, "I don't need your gratitude. I simply want you to know that I can be your teacher. This is an opportunity."

Anton shook his head, "I'm not particularly interested in dark magic."

"Coincidentally, I'm not particularly interested in dark magic either." Fiennes adjusted his hat, "If you've read my diary, you should know that I only recorded that knowledge for reference, and I only learned the Cruciatus Curse as a means of attack and self-defense."

Anton pondered for a moment, placed his backpack down, and sat back down. "I know."

Most of the spells in Fiennes's diary were accompanied by a note from Aurora.

"I can teach you potions, which is what I excel at. You've already consumed the 'Oculus' potion, and you can feel its magic. I invented it myself." As he spoke, Fiennes's face was filled with pride.

To be honest, Anton was deeply moved.

Potions are a serious subject.

Although he has reviewed the materials documented by Fiennes, many of the methods lean towards those used by dark wizards, but they are only partial. Potions do not have strict categorizations of light magic and dark magic.

With this knowledge in the field, a wide path lies ahead of us.

If you can master potions, you will gain wealth, power, and fame. Just look at Snape.

"So, what's the catch?" Anton stared at him intently.

Fiennes floated to the side of the window and gazed outside.

"You're right."

"???"

"I may be dead, but I truly experienced the new life you spoke of." A smile blossomed on Fiennes's wrinkled face, and his eyes sparkled with fascination. "It's truly enchanting."

Anton's face displayed confusion. It was all bullshit. He could ramble on about this feel-good talk all day without repeating himself.

It's long gone out of style on the internet. Everyone has moved on and prefers toxic positivity.

Old man, you're outdated.

Fiennes smiled at Anton, "Remember when I transformed my teacher's safe house into a ghostly shield? I called it Ghost Armor, and it was originally meant to provide an escape route in case of death."

"Clearly, my experiment was a success."

"I want to make a deal with you."

"Go on!"

"I will teach you potions, and in return, you must prepare enough 'Oculus' potion to help me regain a physical form."

"I want to truly walk the streets, touch real flowers, taste ice cream, and feel the refreshing breeze."

As for deceiving children, he has always been a master of deception. How could he be fooled? Anton sneered, "After helping you regain your body, you mustn't have ice cream for the first time, but kill me instead."

Fiennes smiled at him, his eyes filled with an indescribable openness. "You can wait until you are strong enough to easily destroy my body, or when your life is nearing its end, and then help me create a new body. I can be patient."

Anton remained silent.

There was enough sincerity in Fiennes's words, and he could feel it.

"Why me? Under the same circumstances, you could find someone else to assist you without much difficulty."

Fiennes fell silent for a long moment. "Apart from you and me, everyone else who drank the 'Oculus' potion is dead."

"!!!"

"What the fuck!" Anton instantly recalled the moment when Fiennes held his wand and forced him to drink the potion.

He almost died because of that incident?

"Crucio!"

The curse's light passed through Fiennes's body, yet he simply smiled. "You possess a natural talent for dark magic."
