Jiang Ying Yue's hits gradually weakened until they stopped. She continued crying, releasing all of her hurt, fury and frustrations. Without noticing her own actions, her arms had wrapped around Lin Yehan's thin waist and she clung to him.
They remained embracing for how long, they didn't know. Only when they felt themselves shivering a little did they realize that they had stayed outside the cold night for too long.
She pressed her hands against his chest and pushed him away upon realizing the position they were in. Heat spread over her entire face and neck.
He let her go and stepped back. Then he turned and faced the dark emptiness of the property grounds below them in order to give her time to get her bearings. He didn't want her to feel too awkward or uncomfortable around him after their embrace. From the corner of his eyes, he could see that she was wiping her wet face with the sleeve of her shirt.

ArriaCross For those of you complaining about the annoying ads, turn off farming mode in your Settings. It seems that WN has decided to activate farming mode ads to all novels across the platform by default for all new accounts with the latest app update. Like you, I'm very unhappy about this change because firstly, ads are annoying; secondly, we, the authors, haven't been informed about this change before they rolled it out; and thirdly, I have never signed up HGWS to be included in their farming mode list. Authors who sign their novels up in the list apparently get a few cents each month from ad revenue shares but I'm not interested. Also, I'm miffed that they turned on farming mode ads in HGWS when I didn't even sign it up in the list. It means that not only will my chapters contain annoying ads by default but I won't even earn a cent from them.
Anyway, my main concern is to provide you, my readers, a smooth reading experience because I'm an avid reader myself. I know how annoying it can be to be interupted by ads in the middle of reading, especially as a premium user.
For now, try manually turning off farming mode in your Settings and see if that works. If not, please let me know and I'll continue complaining to staff.
