The awkward silence stretched on as the shocked Sun Jingfei failed to reply to Lu Zihao's words. It became too unbearable for Long Jinjing, so she hurried towards Lu Zihao and tried to push him back into the bedroom.
"Niko—Zihao, please put on some clothes," she pleaded. "I'll talk to my mom first, okay? Come out again only if you're…uhm…not as naked. It's incredibly distracting." Then she leaned closer and whispered to him, "Please be a little, uhm, mindful when you talk to my mom later, Nikolai. She might have a h-heart attack if you say something, er, too shocking. Mom's a little delicate, you see."
He raised an eyebrow but there was amusement glinting in his eyes. "Now I know where you got it from," he murmured.
She was too distracted by her embarrassment and worried about the current situation with her mother that she missed what he said. "What did you say? I didn't hear you clearly."
