Hired, After Death

My life.... is normal.

I'm a girl who graduated college, but felt like the whole world ended.

It's weird that even though I have everything like family, decent friends (whom I low key shut the door up for distancing purposes), a college diploma any company required, and decent physical form I still felt unhappy, scared, and felt not worth living.

I just wanted to.... vanish.

I don't wanna live.... because nothing stays the same.

But when I close my eyes or when I read a book, it felt like I'm alive... somehow.

I didn't apply for any job (after attempting and not getting hired as I felt like an idiot for knowing nothing) but for some reason, a weird metallic creature told me I was hired? Not even in email nor text form!

"After a thorough investigation, you fit into our employment standard! Shall we get you started?"

"I didn't apply in to anything."

"Correct! You didn't pass when you are alive but since you have crossed the bridge, you are now hired!"

"What... The... Actually... F-"

"Lets go!!!!!"
