"My God!" Samson flinched as the cup of tea, the maid was holding, spilled on the shirt at the dining table
"I am deeply sorry, sir; it was a mistake." The maid apologized and quickly attempted to clean him up.
"Oh, it's you," he said, recognizing Samantha, the maid he tried to spend the night with but eventually pushed away.
Samson sighed as he attempted to remove the stain from his shirt. He knew it wasn't a mistake; it was a sort of revenge for what he did the night before.
"Even I'll do it," he muttered under his breath.
"She's new, but you know her?" Raven enquired, adjusting his glasses and smirking.
"It's not what you think, Father," Samson said as he stood up to go to his room.
"I'd like to relocate!"
Everyone's attention was immediately drawn to the owner of the voice.
After saying this, Anne's lips were pursed.
It seems she has been holding back from saying it.
"Exactly what did you say?" Serena asked, cautiously. Anne doesn't say much, so she had to listen carefully to what she said.
Anne had a firm grip on the spoon on the table.
"I stated that I would like to relocate,"
"And why is that?" Raven asked, clearing his throat. Samson quickly returned to his seat, curious as to why she had suddenly decided to relocate.
Serena clicked her tongue while scowling at Samantha. Samantha looked around the room and quickly excused herself.
"My best friend from school is also moving, and she is the only person I talk to at school," Anne's eyes welled up with tears as she spoke.
"What?" Samson inquired as he returned to his seat.
"I have no one to talk to at school except her, so if she changes schools, I will as well," Serena quickly approached her.
"Dearest, we had no idea you were going through this," she said, holding her hands.
"You didn't know because you didn't ask," Samson muttered quietly, then faced down attempting to avoid his stepmother's frown.
"We can't move, little one," Raven stated flatly.
"Rav..."
"But if you don't like your current school, we can transfer," he added, locking eyes with Serena, who had called him.
"That's not the issue, They will never be friendly with me because of our family!" Anne yelled as she exhaled loudly.
"I said we couldn't move Anne!" Raven yelled back.
"Dad..."
"Rav..."
"Breakfast is over," Raven said as he stood up and walked away.
"Does he despise me?" Anne questioned as tears streamed down her face.
Serena and Samson exchanged glances. They've never seen Raven react this way to Anne. He always gives her what she requests of him.
"Annie baby, let me talk to your dad, he's not in the best of moods this morning," Serena said as she patted her on the shoulder.
"I'm running late for school," Anne stood up from her seat, wiping her tears away with the back of her hand.
-------
Samson let out a sad sigh as he stepped out of the car. He didn't like how his father yelled at Anne during breakfast. What was the harm in transferring her to a different school in another town? They had the money, so why is he declining her request?
"Boss, Roger is here," Dave cut him off in his thought.
"I know, he called me, that's why I rushed here." He replied. The fact was that he initially wanted to stay and console Anne and talk to his Dad but as he saw Rogers's missed call and text, he decided to save that for later.
"My Dear Cousin!" "You look great," Roger said as he approached them.
"Do I? "I don't think so," Samson said, his face solemn.
"Leave us alone," Roger motioned to Dave.
Dave walked away after a brief glance at Rogers.
"Didn't you find her? Didn't you?" Samson inquired, biting his nail from his fingers.
"No, I told you she was dead; there's no way she could have survived what you did to her," Roger replied.
When he noticed Samson frantically biting his fingernails, he assumed he was nervous and angry again.
"You don't need to keep eating your fingers, you need to face it as a man, she's not the only girl in the world," he said as he took Samson's hand from his mouth.
"We must find her; I must see her dead body if at all possible."
"Let's concentrate on work today, okay? I promise we'll look into it." Roger made sure his eyes met Samson's almost tearful eyes.
"All right, let's focus, let's go inside then," Samson said quickly.
"First, I have to get something from the house," Roger explained as he entered Samson's car.
"You should leave; it's been a long time since you entered the house,"
"See you later," Roger said and drove away.
He came to a halt as the traffic light turned red.
"How can he be so weak in front of a girl?" He muttered. It bothered him that Samson was still curious about Jane's whereabouts. It made his plan appear too bad.
First, what he should do is act normal and try to make him forget about Jane then carry out his side plans.
"Hey! Move your vehicle!" A woman in a red car shouted and raised her hand.
"Wait a minute..." Roger got behind the wheel right away. He had no idea the signal had changed to green.

'Grrrrrrrrrrr'
The bell rang for break, and the students quickly laid down their heads on their desks. It was clear that the previous class had been boring.
"Anne, what did they say? Are you going to Coast with me?" "Anne, my cousin said there is a talented music tutor in the school, his name is..."
"I'm not going anywhere, Sofy," Anne frowned as she raised her head from her desk.
Sofia let out a sigh. "They didn't let you in, did they?" She inquired, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Don't worry, my mummy will talk to my dad," Anne assured Sofia, taking her hand in hers.
"Hello, Rich girl! I heard a rumor the other day," They were approached by a group of boys.
"I heard your brother has a..." Daniel, one of the boys, kept talking while drawing his face close to hers.
"Dan, I'm not in the mood to hear about my family's problems. You are not required to provide me with information daily." As she stood up, Anne cut him off.
"Well, I'm in the mood to provide updates." He chuckled and said.
"Leave her alone, Dan," Sofia said, her voice breaking as she spoke.
"Sofy! Are you leaving this school? I understand why you're speaking to me in this manner. Daren, look after..." He motioned for one of the boys to take care of Sofia.
"Please leave the girls alone,"
As his chair was next to Anne's. A guy wearing glasses interrupted Daniel with his attention still fixed on the book he was reading.
"Why are people cutting me off today? Why can't you just mind your own business, Ashley?" In annoyance, Daniel stuck out his tongue.
"I always mind my own business, but you all are interfering with my concentration," Ashley raised his head and stared at them.
"Let's leave this until later, guys," Daniel said to the boys. He didn't want any problems with Ashley. Ashley was known in class for being quiet and reserved, but rumors circulated that he was dangerous.
"Thank you," they said as the boys walked away.
"How about you run away with me, Anne?" Sofia inquired.
"I can assist you," Ashley said, dropping the book he was reading.
