No one wants to be poor. It is not some character flaw. It's the systematic lack of opportunities & social justice. While there are rags to riches stories, those are the exceptions rather than the rule. The distance between the poor & the middle class is as great a distance between the middle class & the 1%. Just like you cannot fathom how you will end up owning office buildings, airline fleets & malls, the poor can't even figure out life beyond just surviving from one day to another. So have some empathy.
And on a tangent... Everyone Pays taxes. Even the poor. Because everything we buy wether it be a sachet of shampoo or a kilo of steak is taxed. What most people mistakingly say that are taxes they pay that the poor don't is Income Tax and anyone who earns below 20k a month is exempt from this BY LAW. So punch upwards. The poor are not the enemy nor are they responsible for your suffering.
And if you, the middle class, think that the poor have no contribution to the economy and society, ask yourself, where does the labor to build infrastructure, man factories, farm lands, sell in markets, staff malls, staff groceries, drive mass transportation and even take care of your children come from?
