Coral Ruby was convicted of murder, kidnapping, defamation, and disrupting the court order. Taking all of these crimes into consideration, she was sentenced to life imprisonment. Considering she was lactating, her son was permitted to stay with her until the end of the breastfeeding period, after which her son would be under Long Ruby's care.

With regards to Coral Ruby's allegations of Bright Hawkins and Norma Ruby conspiring in a car accident conspiracy, a case has been filed following discussions among the judge and jury, and a separate date for the hearing has been decided. Before the case proceeds, suspect Norma Ruby is temporarily detained at the detention center. Lake City Police have been notified to detain Bright Hawkins.
