Capítulo 147: I'm Sorry

The cool night breeze blew as Connor slowly closed his eyes. The past few days were probably the most peaceful time Connor could enjoy after living for almost half a century. Connor could still vaguely remember the laughter Vano had let out when they had been together lately. Connor was relieved that Alexa and Vano seemed to have a good life after they left the country. At least both could feel happy and free without being forced to do this and that by someone.

This short time might be the last time Connor could feel happiness. Connor knew that everything would be quiet again when Alexa and her family returned to their country after the preparations for Vano's transfer were complete. When the time came, Connor would live his life alone again. Continuously lived to defend the country and returned home without anyone to welcome him home as a family.
