Ego and Adam quickly found their seats as the teacher began to address the class. "Welcome, all of you. And for those who might not know, my name is Master Hong, your martial arts teacher, and today we are here to train, very extreme training."
Master Hong's presence commanded respect, and the air in the room seemed to shift, charged with anticipation. Ego couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity about what this training would entail.
The teacher continued, " The inter-academy martial arts tournament is tomorrow, we've trained so much for this day and we can not afford to lose at any cost."
Ego turned to Adam and asked, "Wait! The tournament is tomorrow? I don't remember anything, what am I going to do."
"That's a big problem, if you don't remember any of the training we've taken, then how will you be able be win the tournament?" Adam added. "I have an idea, Master Hong will help."
"you all follow me, we will go to the weapon hall where you will have a chance to choose a weapon that fits you best," Master Hong said.
Immediately, the whole class followed as they all headed to the weapon hall As they stepped through the heavy, ornately carved double doors, the room unfolded before their eyes like a treasure trove of lethal artistry.
The hall is bathed in a soft, ethereal light that emanates from enchanted sconces mounted on stone pillars. The air is thick with the scent of polished wood, oiled leather, and a hint of metal.
The chamber stretches out in a seemingly endless expanse, with high, vaulted ceilings. Rows upon rows of weapons are meticulously displayed on racks, shelves, and weapon stands.
Swords of various shapes and sizes are a prominent feature, their blades honed to a razor's edge, some adorned with precious gemstones set in intricately crafted hilts. Battle axes, their gleaming heads adorned with wickedly curved spikes, hang alongside war hammers with ornate designs etched into their heavy heads.
Bows and quivers filled with fletched arrows line one side of the hall, showcasing the archer's art, guns of all types lined up on one side.
"Wow! This is incredible," Ego lamented.
In a room filled with an air of anticipation and respect, Master Hong strode forward to a podium, his presence commanding attention. His weathered hands gripped a sword of unparalleled craftsmanship, a weapon that exuded an aura of fear and power.
"I think that sword must be made from the crystals of one of the highest-level beasts," Adam remarked, awe in his voice.
Ego, however, was puzzled. "Crystals? Highest-level beasts? Please, can you try explaining this to me? I don't understand a thing you are saying."
Adam smiled, understanding his friend's confusion. "In the outside world, beyond this school, different beasts exist, and they vary in levels of strength. These beasts possess crystals that are a source of their power. Weapons can be made from these beast crystals, and the higher the level of the beast you defeat, the stronger the kind of weapon you can create."
Ego's eyes widened with realization. The concept was entirely new to him, but it made sense in the context of this mysterious world he had entered. He began to see the significance of their training and the importance of mastering martial arts in order to face these powerful creatures.
At that moment, Master Hong interrupted the conversation, asserting his authority over the students. His eyes, devoid of warmth, seemed to possess a calculating and piercing gaze as he scrutinized the students with an unwavering intensity.
-"For many of you, this must be your first time stepping into such a room with so much weaponry. So you have to do as you are told to avoid being killed by one of these weapons," Master Hong added.
-"Now! You have 30 minutes to go around and pick a weapon that you may feel connects and matches your ability, and your time starts now."
Eyes widened with excitement as the students surveyed the room. Swords glimmered under the soft lighting, their edges honed to perfection. Staves stood tall and proud, emanating an aura of mystical power. Bows and arrows beckoned with their promise of accuracy and precision.
"You have been trained in the art of combat, and now it is time to choose your weapon," Master Hong continued, his gaze sweeping across the room. "Remember, this is not about the weapon's might, but rather its harmony with your essence. Take your time, explore, and trust your instincts."
The students dispersed, wandering amidst the vast collection. Some were drawn to the elegant curves of a katana, symbolizing discipline and finesse. Others gravitated towards the weighty heft of a battle axe, representing sheer strength and determination. A few were captivated by the intricate engravings of a magical staff, hinting at arcane secrets waiting to be unlocked.
Remember, young warriors, the true power lies not in the weapon itself, but in the one who wields it," he imparted, his voice filled with wisdom. "May your choice be a reflection of your spirit, and may your journey be one of growth and valor."
Ego walked around the weapon hall inspecting all the weapons looking for one that would suit him best. Just then, a system notification popped up in his line of sight.
