In Zed's office, Zed also stared carefully at Hancock. Except for his eyes, it was clear that he looked exactly the same as J. If the organisation hadn't tested J's genes, he would have suspected that J and the alien were twin brothers.
"N, you want to use the De-Neuralyzer to help him recover his memory? Do you know how much money that thing consumes in one use?"
"Hancock, we generally only treat members of the M.I.B, and you are not a M.I.B agent."
If Hancock was really as powerful as N, then if he could join the M.I.B, he could certainly strengthen the M.I.B.
"But N said, you could help me heal first and then let me decide for myself whether to join MIB or not. I forgot many things. He said you could help me; was he lying to me?"
"Don't worry, we're not lying to you." Noah quickly appeased Hancock, 'why is this guy always so impulsive?'
"Chief, you can deduct the cost from my salary. Consider this the treatment cost, he's my friend." He winked at Zed. 'I know what you're thinking.'
"So you're vouching for him? That's fine. Let's go, I'm free right now. I'll take you there."
Zed looked at Noah and smiled. Having such a clever subordinate was truly a relief.
In an empty room, there was a chair-like device on which Hancock had to sit, "Don't I need to take medication or something?"
"No need. We just checked; there is no bruising in your head or anything like that. You should have received some major shock that caused you to block your memories. This equipment can help you. You don't have to do anything for now."
The organisation's chief physician, Professor Kidd, secured Hancock in a chair and exited the room to stand aside with Noah and the others.
"We're restoring the memories of an alien for the first time. This is valuable data."
Noah jerked up to look at him, "Professor Kidd, didn't you just tell me it was guaranteed?"
'Your turning Hancock into a guinea pig? Do you know how fucking strong he is?!'
"It's okay, it will definitely work. His physical structure is extremely similar to that of an Earthling. At most, we need to adjust the power output. Get ready, it's gonna be a great show!"
The chair started to spin widely while an arc of light appeared. Noah noticed that Hancock's expression started to distort.
Professor Kidd stood in front of the console, "Maybe the output isn't enough. I'll try to add a little more. He's physically strong, so he should be able to bear it."
"N, are you sure you can control him and make him work for the M.I.B?" Zed turned to ask.
"I'm not sure, I'm trying. And it's not control, it's convincing him to join us. He has been living on Earth for decades, and his thinking is very close to that of humans. But for so long, the organisation hasn't noticed him, right?"
"N, the M.I.B hasn't been established for that long. Our technology was rather lacking at the beginning. Besides, his appearance looks too much like an Earthling."
"You also said that there was another one of his race out there, right? Can you persuade the other person to join the M.I.B as well? If you can, I can recommend a promotion for you to become a top agent."
Noah's eyes lit up, but then he shook his head, "That would be hard. Mary is married to an ordinary human right now, and she loves her current life. She has never revealed her abilities in front of outsiders."
"I'll try my best to ask her for help if we encounter difficulties. If there were such a powerful agent in the organisation, we wouldn't have been in such a mess the last time we encountered Serleena."
Noah didn't know who was stronger, Hancock or Serleena. Anyway, he wouldn't be able to beat either one empty-handed.
"But, if Hancock joined us here, J wouldn't have it easy. They look too similar. Even Professor Kidd had mistaken him for J."
Zed started to consider the issue of personnel allocation, but he suddenly heard Professor Kidd cry out in alarm.
The machine in the room started to emit smoke, and Professor Kidd was quickly pressing on the console, trying to stop it.
Crack!
Hancock's hand came up and ripped the armrest of the seat. A burst of fire came out of the machine and began to smoulder, and Hancock's hiss of pain sounded from inside.
The shrill alarm sounded, and a number of agents rushed over to the lab. Several nozzles were extended out from the laboratory walls, spewing out white clouds, to extinguish the fire.
"Quickly! Open the door!"
After opening the door, Noah rushed in first. Suddenly, he flew back out, colliding with Zed.
"Hancock, it's me, N, your friend. How are you? "Noah got up and shouted, "You guys! Put your guns down! He means no harm."
Hancock walked out of the smoke with his hand still pressed to his head and a pained expression.
"N, I'm fine, I remember."
Everyone was relieved. They were afraid that Hancock would go crazy. If such a powerful alien went crazy at headquarters, the damage caused would certainly be no less than that of Serleena.
"N, do you have a map? Can you help me find the planet Angleos?"
Noah had a bad feeling, "What are you going to do?"
"I want to go home."
Zed was supported by Kidd and came over, "Hancock, Angelos? We know where that is, but it was destroyed a long time ago. You have been living on Earth for a long time; why don't you stay here? "
"Stay, we're your friends, and you're used to everything here, aren't you?"
"Thank you for helping me recover my memories, but I want to go back. In the beginning, I had no ability and fled my home planet. Now that I have it, shouldn't I go back and rebuild?"
"If it was you guys, how would you choose? Would you run away like cowards? N, you'll help me, right?"
There was a pleading look in Hancock's eyes.
Noah's face looked bitter. He wanted to cure Hancock's constant headache and persuade him to join the M.I.B. But now, he didn't know how to convince the other party.
"Hancock, do you remember Mary?"
"I remember, she used to be my wife. The two of us have mutated. But, when we were together, we lost our powers. She kept her distance from me to save me. I can't blame her. You said that the M.I.B has a spaceship. Can you help me?"
"I can leave some blood for you to study. I've seen a lot of aliens here, and they all want to go home. So do I. I'll go crazy if I continue to stay on Earth. Please, help me."
Zed sighed, "All right, I'll take you to the nearest flight to Angelos, but I still need a promise from you. If we contact you in the future, you should try your best to help us."
When it wasn't possible to persuade the other party to stay, he would still try his best to get the most benefit for the M.I.B.
"Of course, thank you."
...
Noah handed Hancock a backpack, "Here are some earth foods that you like. Take them with you to eat on the journey. If, I mean, if you want to come back to Earth, you're always welcome."
"Thank you." Hancock hugged Noah. "Tell Mary, I hope she lives a wonderful life on Earth. Goodbye, N."
He left Earth for another important reason that was Mary. She had married someone else, and he didn't want to stay in this heartbreaking place. The memories were too painful.
After the ship's hatch closed and it glided toward the entrance of the portal, Noah turned around and saw J hurry towards him.
"Hey, N, what's wrong today? Why are so many people looking at me strangely?"
