Capítulo 11: Chapter 11: Another Day, Another Dead Guy

But before the knife finds its mark, the guard reacts with surprising agility for his muscular build. He twists away, your blade slicing through the air rather than flesh. A growl rumbles in his chest as he lunges at you, his massive fists clenched. You barely have time to register the sudden shift in momentum before he's on you, his punches raining down like hammers.

You manage to dodge and dive, feeling the wind from each blow as your heart thumps in your chest. You scramble to your feet, desperate for some distance between you and the hulking guard. You spot a crate nearby and leap onto it, narrowly avoiding another vicious swing. You need a moment to catch your breath, to plan your next move. The guard's eyes follow you, his expression feral and determined. He knows he has you cornered, and he's enjoying the chase.

You scan the area for anything you can use as a weapon. A length of pipe catches your eye, just out of reach. "You're no match for me, gringo," the guard snarls, his breath hot and heavy. "I'll enjoy snapping your spine."

Your grip tightens on the knife as you plot your next move. The guard's size is intimidating, but you've faced bigger challenges before. You've always managed to come out on top, and this time will be no different.

With a sudden burst of speed, you leap off the crate and dive towards the pipe. You grasp it firmly in your hand, feeling its solid weight and the promise of a makeshift weapon. The guard lunges at you, but you spin away, avoiding his grasp. You swing the pipe with all your might, connecting with the side of his head.

The crack of bone is sickening, but you don't let up. You strike again and again, each blow weakening the guard until he falls to the ground, motionless. You pant heavily, a thrill of triumph courses through you as you take in the sight of the defeated foe. You stand there, the pipe still clutched tightly in your hand, as you try to steady your breathing. Your heartbeat gradually slows, and you take a moment to appreciate the stillness of the warehouse. The guards are no longer a threat, and you've successfully infiltrated Alberto's stronghold.

A wry smile plays at the corners of your lips as you glance at the bales of cocaine piled high in the center of the room. You've struck a significant blow against Alberto, and the sense of satisfaction is palpable. You grab your phone and dial Ken's number, taking a deep breath as you listen to the rings. "Ken, I've done it. I've taken care of Alberto's guards and secured the warehouse. The cocaine is mine," you say, a hint of triumph in your voice.

Ken's tone is relieved as he responds, "That's great news, Tommy. I'll send a truck over to pick up the loot. We can sell it and split the profits. You've done a great job, but be careful." "Thanks, Ken. I'll wait for the truck," you reply, keeping a watchful eye on the warehouse entrance. The sound of a vehicle approaching sends a surge of adrenaline through you. You squint into the distance, seeing the outline of a truck making its way towards you. The sense of accomplishment is satisfying, but you know there's still work to be done.

As the truck pulls up, you make your way to the entrance, hefting the minigun case out of the trunk. The truck driver hops out, a young man with a curious look on his face. He takes in the sight of the warehouse and the dead guards, his eyes widening in surprise. But he doesn't say a word, instead helping you load the bales of cocaine onto the truck.

As you and the driver secure the cocaine on the truck, you can't help but feel a sense of pride swelling within you. This victory is just one step closer to taking over Vice City's underworld and making a name for yourself. The power and influence you seek are almost within your grasp.

With the truck loaded and ready to go, you exchange a brief nod with the driver. He jumps back into the cab, and the truck rumbles to life, pulling away from the warehouse. You watch as it disappears into the night, the precious cargo now in your control.

Alberto paces back and forth in his secluded mansion, his eyes blazing with anger. He had received word that his warehouse had been infiltrated, and the valuable cocaine stashed inside had vanished. He knew who was behind this: Tommy Vercetti, the cunning and ambitious criminal mastermind who had been making waves in Vice City's underworld.

Alberto's men had failed him, and now he was forced to confront the consequences of their incompetence. Alberto clenches his fists, his knuckles turning white as he contemplates his next move. He's not one to back down from a challenge, especially from a mere upstart like Tommy Vercetti.

Meanwhile, you return to your safehouse, your mind drifting back to the plans to expand your criminal empire. As you enter your safehouse, the adrenaline from the successful warehouse heist slowly begins to ebb away, leaving you feeling a mix of exhaustion and satisfaction. You take a moment to appreciate the quiet solitude, knowing that it won't last long. The underworld of Vice City thrives on chaos and violence, and you are no exception.

Suddenly, the phone on the wall rings, shattering the silence. Your heart quickens, knowing that it could be any number of potential threats or opportunities. With a resigned sigh, you pick up the receiver. "Vercetti speaking," you answer, the weight of the minigun case in your other hand grounding you.

The voice is cold and calculated on the other end of the line. "Mr. Vercetti, I've heard about your recent exploits. Impressive work. I have a job offer for you, should you be interested."

"Who are you?". You ask.

A pause lingers on the other end of the line, broken only by the faint sound of a match being struck and a cigarette being lit. The crackle of the flame illuminates a shadowy room, revealing a figure cloaked in darkness. The figure takes a slow drag, his eyes narrowing as he considers his next words.

"Call me Mr. Black," he finally says, his voice smooth and dangerous. "I have a proposition for you, Mr. Vercetti. I've been impressed by your actions in Vice City. I have a... business proposition for you. One that could benefit us both greatly."

You mull over his offer for a moment. "What kind of proposition?" you ask, your curiosity piqued.

Mr. Black's laughter fills your ear, cold and calculated. "Ah, Mr. Vercetti, you're a man after my own heart." He takes another drag of his cigarette, the ember glowing ominously in the darkness. "I run a little business here in Vice City. Let's just say it's not entirely... legal. I've heard that you're a man who knows how to get things done. I need someone to help me expand my operations, and I think you might be the right man for the job."

You consider his words carefully. The potential rewards of such an arrangement could be significant. But you also know that working with Mr. Black might come with its own set of risks. [Autocide mission] You mull over Mr. Black's offer, your mind racing with the possibilities. The promise of wealth and power is tempting, but you know that working with a man like Mr. Black could lead to dangerous consequences. Yet, you've faced danger before and emerged victorious. Why should this be any different?

With a note of determination in your voice, you respond, "Alright, Mr. Black. I'm listening. What do you need me to do?"

Mr. Black's voice takes on a serious tone as he outlines the details of his plan. "I have a rival hitman business in Vice City," he begins, "and I want you to eliminate their key operatives. This will create an opening for my own business to expand, and in return, I'll offer you a share of the profits and my full support in your endeavors."

You take a deep breath, considering his proposal. You've dealt with dangerous men before, but Mr. Black seems to operate on a whole different level. Still, you've never been one to back down from a challenge. "Alright, Mr. Black, I'll do it."

Mr. Black's voice crackles through the phone, low and ominous. "Start with Mike Griffin, you'll find him working as a builder on a billboard outside the Washington Mall. Next, take out Dick Tanner, a security guard for DBP Security. After that, locate and eliminate Marcus Hammond and Franco Carter, they're carpenters in a Bobcat near the jewelry store in Vice Point. Nick Kong is posing as a tourist on a boat near Avery Carrington's construction site – make sure he doesn't leave. Finally, track down Charlie Dilson on his PCJ-600 around Ocean Drive. Finish the job, Tommy. Leave no one standing." You nod, already planning your next move. "Consider it done." The line goes dead, and you're left in silence, the weight of your decision settling on your shoulders.
