That night, Talon and everyone had moved into the cave as planned. According to their strategy, the children, women, and elderly were given priority to occupy the cave's safer interior. The men, in contrast, were busy setting up emergency tents around the cave.

They scavenged materials from the island—branches, leaves, and vines—to construct makeshift shelters. Despite these efforts, a few people chose to stay by the beach. 

They hesitated to venture deeper into the island's heart due to concerns about potential dangers. The island, being uninhabited, posed unknown threats such as snakes or other wild animals that could emerge unexpectedly.

In the calm and chilly night air, groups of people gathered around their individual campfires. The flames flickered, casting a warm, orange glow that contrasted with the cold darkness. The children played joyfully, their laughter ringing out in the still night, a brief respite from their recent troubles.
