Capítulo 157: King's announcement

The morning started for them early, with their dressing for the processions and announcements. Thraos and Chaenath agreed on Dalyor being at the front, and Nibur, although with some grumbling, he decided to stand at his side, just behind; looking up standing that close would've hurt his neck.

They were all dressed lavishly. Dalyor wore a golden robe that went to his knees, with silver buttons going down to his waist, its borders trimmed with swirling black lines. His silver waist-belt shone like a polished mirror.

Nibur wore darker colors as if to mock the elf. His doublet was blood-red, with buttons of obsidian, with black veins running all over the fabric. His breeches were velvety black and tight fit.

Chaenath wore a grass-green gown, as a homage to the forests, and asked her gods to give her strength. Silver silk came down from her shoulders and down her arms like a twirling snake. "God of light, give me strength for today," she prayed in her mind.
