What happened to being tried by a group of twelve of your peers? Was Vlaran law so different than Earth's that he was found guilty without a chance to defend himself? Chained to the bed he certainly would not be able to defend himself against Bel. 

He could only hope and pray that she as an angel would show mercy, even if she was a fallen one.
