"Detective Irons, and don't go looking at me funny NEO. My paperwork has been checked an triple checked so many times that it is not funny. You think that they would give me a silver star if it was not. I am proud of the fact my grandmother is one of the chosen ones. Not All fallen are as evil as they are made out to be, and not all Neph do terrible experiments."

"Guessing that you are the bad cop?"

"No that would be your dear Captain Halt if she has it her way. No do I need to read you your rights or can I just assume that you know them already?"

"Do I need an attorney, Detective Irons?"

"I can not answer that question, only you can, suspect Biggs."

"I will take that as a no then. I doubt it would do me any good. Only Mother knows how many angles the surveillance system in Tom's got sent over. Am I going to at least get to claim my own bounty for turning myself in?"

"No idea. We LEO's can't claim those like you lot."

*Crackle*

"Testing, testing. Sorry, bounty is all mine Biggs. To bad, it would have been enough to take the sting out of that tab."

"Damn it."

"What was that?"

"Nothing detective. Can I just make a statement, and get this over with before this gets broadcast to NEO HQ."

"You can make a statement, but it is advised that you do so with the advice of council, as anything you include can and will be used against you in the court of law."

"I am aware. What punishment am I facing? I am not up to speed on all of the local laws as I mostly just drive the MCU and do routine inspections when it is not needed."

"The assault charge on a NEO, or LEO of the grade that you are being charged with is one day in holding and a fine that will be determined by the judges. You could also be facing disciplinary action from your unit. I am not privileged to view the punishment for the other pending charges."

"My statement is as follows; I confess to the crimes that I have been charged with as shown in the collected evidence, no more. That is all."

"Good enough. I think that we can be done here. You just better keep quiet than I went easy on you back there in holding. I hear that they prepared a nice comfortable cell for you. Unfortunately the cuffs have to go back on for now."

*Click*

"Oh, by the way thanks for the drink at lunch. I will have to buy you a round when you get out Biggs. Hate to tell you that tomorrow is the judges anniversary, and they will not be seeing any new cases for forty-eight hours."

"I will try to get out CCO to slip you some decent chow as compensation. Least I can do for a fellow officer."

"The judge really out of court tomorrow chief?"

"No, and he probably won't even go before one on a one day hold charge. The fine will just be automatically deducted from his pay. The detective was just messing with him. You have any more problems over there at Neph Enforcement, you can come see me, I will put in a good word for you, and make sure that you get a slot in the next available academy cycle."

"Thanks for the offer, but I have a really nice room with a large comfortable bed over at HQ at least for the next few years that it takes to get through the academy. That and my pet really wants to be a NEO and I think that it would be nice to work with her."

"Offer still stands if you change your mind rookie. I'm sorry but all my patrol units are occupied at the moment, you will have to take the fast way back to NEO HQ. Have fun and good luck passing the academy. Maybe we will work together sometime in the future. You can find a telapod pad next to the water fountain just down the hallway to the left."

**Five minutes later**

*Knock*

"Enter."

"The rookie gone?"

"Yeah, just left. Had him ride the blue line back to HQ Captain. You want a ride home. You have to be about dead tired being that the sun is closer to setting than rising."

"Will just let Sergeant Simmons cover for me unless something comes up and crash on the couch in the captain's office. What about Biggs?"

"We will let him out in an hour. He is currently shooting the breeze with our CCO. Can't do anything about the fine though."

"His bounty should about cover it, I will give him half. Thanks for the help teaching him how to conduct a proper intake interview I know you LEO's hate calling them interrogations. He really hates telepods by the way."

"I know. He mentioned it a few times. Thought it would teach him a little lesson about respecting his seniors and not using his authority to deal with a little hazing. I get that he might be sensitive about his mark but those comments people make are just noise at the end of the day."

"I just got a priority message from an administrator. A level One Administrator."

"You better open it. They have the ability to know when it was received and viewed I think. Our requisitions guy always knows when I am ignoring his V-mails and he is only a six if I remember correctly."

"No, I think that I am buying the rookie lunch tomorrow. Well if I want our patrol cycle back. The building's AI decided to issue one to him. Records even show that he did not requisition it."

I asked you, so it is my treat. Tell the captain she is invited to, and that she knows where to find me if she gets a difficult suspect. You can put in a request with the Commissioner should you need me to help persuade a suspect to talk.

I will just see if I can get one of our techs to once over the cycle or have my personal drone handle it. I really do hope that I get assigned one of these soon.

Don't recommend forcibly installing the manual on them.
