The school bell rang, my heart skipped a beat to hear the bell again, never thought I'd miss school this much, and it's been only three days.

Monday morning, history class, the news had spread like wild fire that our squad made it to the Nationals. Infact, in homeroom that was the only thing people couldn't stop thinking about.

And yes, people were staring at me, but it wasn't the awful glares, it was nice as if they actually adored me.

"Looks like someone's soaking in all the extra dose of popularity." Luca said from behind me. He had his jersey on and a basketball in his hand.

"Nice to see you too." I greeted, "what? Can't a guy friend walk his girl friend to her class?." He teased. I rolled my eyes and continued walking towards class, trying not to let the extra attention cloud my thoughts.

"I think I have to get closer to Brent without him getting a whiff of what am trying to do." Luca said.
