Liliana witnessed the proudest moment for Lucas tonight.

After Chairman Xia and Alvin gave their speeches, they invited Lucas and Mr. Zheng to the stage. Liliana watched from a spot on the ballroom floor, her eyes twinkling with pride.

Stepping forward, Alvin introduced the two men himself instead of letting the emcee do it. His whole countenance beamed under the lights.

"For the first time ever, Queen's Crown Hotel organized a bake-off to celebrate its 60th anniversary. After several weeks of competing, we crowned Mr. Zheng and Mr. Liu as the ultimate winners."

Alvin explained the key points related to the bake-off, even bringing up the intention of Queen's Crown Hotel to nurture both talents. After concluding his short speech, he handed the mic to Mr. Zheng. 

Liliana didn't pay much attention to what Mr. Zheng wanted to say. Her whole focus was on Lucas. She could tell he was nervous inside despite showing a composed look on the outside.
