Capítulo 3: Chapter 3: Kujou Sara

Kujou Sara, the General of the Tenryou Commission.

The Tenryou Commission is one of Inazuma's "Tri-Commission," responsible for all security matters in the region.

As the General of the Tenryou Commission, Kujou Sara naturally bore the heavy responsibility of maintaining order in Inazuma City.

Today, she received reports from the public that someone was causing trouble and disturbing business operations.

Inazuma hadn't seen any intentional disturbances in a long time, so Kujou Sara took the report seriously.

She immediately brought her soldiers to investigate.

Even before getting close,

she could hear some familiar loud voices in the distance.

"..."

Hearing those familiar voices,

she didn't need anyone to explain further; she could already guess what had happened.

...

*SLAP*

Kujou Sara slammed her hand down on the ramen stand's table, shouting angrily, "Just got out and already want to go back in?"

Her beautiful face, framed by purple hair adorned with a tengu mask, was stern and commanding, making her look even more formidable.

Her white sash, tied tightly around her chest, highlighted her figure, accentuating her full curves beneath the black mesh fabric.

As her skirt swayed, her long, jade-like legs caught everyone's attention.

"Kujou the Turtle!!??? *Cough*... *Cough, cough*..."

Still slurping his noodles, Itto jumped in surprise.

His eyes widened like saucers, and the noodles in his mouth shot out like a jet, splattering all over Genji, who was sitting next to him.

"What did you just say??!!"

Calling her Kujou the Turtle in front of her subordinates—Arataki Itto really had a death wish!

"A few days ago, you and your gang were reported by parents for gambling with children using Onikabuto. And today, you're causing trouble while eating ramen. Arataki Itto, are you doing this on purpose? Do you just want to antagonize me?"

"What? Gambling?"

"I was just fairly acquiring resources. Who knew those brats couldn't take losing and told their parents." Arataki Itto wasn't backing down, slamming his hand on the ramen table with equal force.

Teiyu's eyes twitched as he watched the tableware fly everywhere from the impact.

"Hmph, I'm the 'Arataki Onikabuto Gladiator Itto'! I would never cheat kids or welch on a bet. Those kids didn't have any sportsmanship. We agreed that the winner would take all the snacks."

Ignoring the pitiful Genji, who was still wiping his face, Arataki Itto immediately stood up, his tall figure casting a shadow like a towering pillar.

"Um... I think I have something to say.

Sister Kujou, Itto bro was just here to eat noodles and wasn't causing any trouble. I asked him to line up, and he did so obediently. It's probably just a misunderstanding."

Seeing that the two of them were about to get into it, Teiyu quickly stepped in to mediate.

If they kept slapping the table like that, would his ramen stand even survive?

"Teiyu?" Kujou Sara turned her head, surprised, then realized, "This is your stand?"

"That's right." Teiyu quickly summarized the situation for Kujou Sara.

"I see, so that's what happened."

"..."

"Since Teiyu says it's a misunderstanding, I trust his word." Kujou Sara hesitated, her pretty face blushing slightly. After a moment of silence, she looked at Teiyu and said,

"What the... Is this really our stern and stoic Kujou Officer?"

The soldiers standing nearby were stunned.

Kujou Sara was usually known for her efficient and decisive manner. She would never make judgments based solely on a young boy's word.

But today,

the strict Kujou Officer was taking a young boy's word at face value?

Who was this delicate-looking young man that the Kujou Officer trusted so much?

Suddenly, everyone's gazes turned curious and gossip-like.

"What the...?"

"No way, I am an oni!?"

Arataki Itto was just as shocked as the soldiers. This Kujou Tengu was using such a gentle tone with Little Tei?

What was going on?

The usually stern and serious Kujou Sara had a side that was this kind and gentle?

Arataki Itto, who had been at odds with Kujou Sara for a long time, mostly losing (never winning), was equally astonished.

"That's good then."

Teiyu let out a small sigh of relief.

He knew both of them well and got along with them, so naturally, he didn't want to see them fall out over a minor misunderstanding.

"No way, no way... This can't be the Kujou Tengu I know. How could Kujou Tengu have such a gentle expression?" Arataki Itto murmured to himself as if his world had been turned upside down.

Was this Kujou PTSD? Poor Itto.

The normally serious Kujou Sara suddenly acting like a quiet, gentle woman was indeed a surprising contrast.

However,

Teiyu really didn't have any special relationship with the Tenryou Commission's general; he had just happened to help her out a few times.

"We're just friends, really!"

Kujou Sara turned her head, regaining her usual commanding presence. She looked at the still-gossiping, disorganized soldiers and frowned slightly, saying, "What are you looking at? The matter is resolved. Fall back to camp. Those who were out of line just now, run back with me."

"Ah, Officer... we..." The soldiers were startled, regretting their earlier laxity. But since Kujou Sara was strict in leading her troops, they didn't dare complain and obediently followed her.

"Arataki, I hope you won't spend your days idly anymore. You should find a proper job and not let Granny Oni down."

In a rare moment,

Kujou Sara stopped walking and patiently spoke to Arataki Itto.

There wasn't really any deep grudge between the two.

Kujou Sara didn't want this young oni to waste his days away, constantly causing trouble for her work.

"Oh... Uh... I get it." Arataki Itto responded somewhat absentmindedly.

He wasn't used to being lectured by the usually stern Kujou Sara in such a soft tone.

In truth, he still had a childish mindset, enjoying opposing and contradicting girls.

But the moment a girl stopped responding or changed her attitude, he became instinctively lost.

Arataki Itto looked at the departing Kujou Sara with a complicated expression.

He glanced at Teiyu, who was cleaning up the table, and the worried three.

Why did his chest feel tight, as if something was stuck there?

"Let's go, Genji, Ah-Kou, Ah-Shou!" He now just wanted to find a quiet place to think.

"Got it, boss."

"Yes, boss."

The three, who were helping Teiyu clean up, noticed that Arataki Itto wasn't his usual self.

Seeing him so downcast made them worry too.

And so, this little incident came to an end...

Watching them leave, Teiyu shook his head and started preparing to close up and go home.

...

By this time, the moonlight spread across the land, its gentle silver glow bathing Inazuma in a soft light. The breeze felt like a lover's caress—gentle and affectionate.

Pushing his small cart, Teiyu felt the world become clear and calm, and the fatigue from the day seemed to melt away.

If he circled around from Inazuma City, he would reach his home.

He didn't have enough Mora to buy a house in Inazuma, so he had decided to rent for now.

The yard wasn't big, but it was a standalone house. The elderly landlady was very kind and gave him a discount on the rent.

Fifty thousand Mora a month, which was practically free.

As he opened the gate, he saw a cherry blossom tree in the yard, still shedding petals with a soft rustling sound.

Looking at the ground covered in cherry blossoms, Teiyu sighed,

"I'll have to sweep up the blossoms again tomorrow. They're beautiful, but cleaning them up is such a hassle."

He pushed the cart into the yard and parked it, then put the clean

The tofu, with its crispy exterior and soft interior, soaked in the special sauce, offered a unique texture that paired perfectly with the sweet and salty flavor, making it utterly appetizing.

"Oh yeah! No wonder I made it," Teiyu exclaimed with satisfaction as he placed a piece of tofu in his mouth.

"Hey, what's this?"

As he was happily eating,

He noticed a small pink fox sitting beside the table, staring at him with big, hopeful eyes.
