Capítulo 35: Chapter 35

Regarding the matter of honorifics, Nathan felt as if he was experiencing a déjà vu. A scene from his life's simulation was once again playing out in reality.

"Gan... Ganyu!!!"

"Mm-hmm!!!"

Ganyu nodded happily, gradually loosening her grip on his wrist.

Whether in the life simulation or now, Nathan couldn't understand Ganyu's fixation on honorifics.

Such respectful terms might seem polite during a first meeting—if this were indeed a first meeting!

"Sir... shouldn't you introduce yourself?"

"Ah... my name is Nathan, a traveler who just settled in Liyue."

At an imperceptible corner of her mouth, Ganyu's lips curved slightly.

This was less a question and more a deliberate attempt to guide Nathan.

Ganyu leaned close, bringing her breathtaking face near him.

"Nathan... what a pleasant name. Have we met before?"

Here we go again!

Memories from the simulation resurfaced, the dialogue perfectly matching.

"Ganyu... you're joking. I only arrived in Liyue a week ago. This is our first meeting," Nathan tried to control his expression, not wanting her to detect anything amiss.

"Nathan... what are you afraid of?"

The strange feeling of Ganyu's proximity brought Ningguang's warning to mind.

He unconsciously wanted to step back but couldn't move.

"Ganyu, I truly have urgent matters. Please allow me to take my leave," he said bitterly, their eyes meeting.

Ganyu from the life simulation had already overwhelmed him.

In reality, she was even more challenging to handle.

"Nathan... have you heard this poem?"

"What poem?"

"Green, green, my simple gown, Far is my heart from thee now; Not for thy sake alone I vow, These sighs till now!"

Silence.

As Ganyu softly recited the poem, Nathan fell into silence.

These verses were from an ancient text he had studied before his transmigration.

They shouldn't exist in this Teyvat world.

Yet Ganyu had recited them perfectly.

"What is going on?"

Turbulent thoughts churned beneath a calm exterior.

"Nathan... have you heard it?"

"No, I haven't!"

Her persistent questioning forced him to deny knowledge.

This concerned his transmigration, his past life's memories.

Until he understood the reason, he could only shake his head.

"No... you definitely have heard it. You personally recited this poem to me!"

A meaningful smile played on Ganyu's lips.

Him? Reciting it?

This only confused Nathan more.

He had just transmigrated to Teyvat a week ago, struggling to survive before awakening the life simulator.

When would he have had time to recite poetry?

"Well... let's go inside,"

Observing Nathan's awkwardness, Ganyu's smile didn't diminish.

She released his wrist and pushed open the door.

Fine, Nathan admitted she had the upper hand.

The mysterious poem about past memories compelled him to approach Ganyu and investigate.

...

Following her steps, Nathan entered the antique room.

Compared to Ningguang's luxurious Jade Chamber, Ganyu's room was remarkably simple.

Minimal decoration—just wooden walls, floor, one table, and one chair.

This austere style perfectly matched Ganyu's ethereal personality.

"Lady Ganyu!!!"

"Lady Ganyu!!!"

"Lady Ganyu!!!"

From the beginning, the room wasn't occupied by just Nathan and Ganyu.

Three girls in identical attire bowed to Ganyu.

Nathan recognized them from the game.

"Bai Shi? Bai Wen? Bai Xiao? Why are you here?"

Ganyu looked puzzled, calling out their names.

Bai Shi, Bai Wen, and Bai Xiao were Ningguang's secretaries, often helping her organize materials during work.

They were more like Ningguang's loyal followers, deeply admiring her.

Nathan had wondered why these three weren't present in the Jade Chamber earlier.

"We're following Ningguang's instructions to assist Lady Ganyu's work!"

Bai Shi, the only one wearing glasses, spoke.

Compared to the others, she appeared more composed.

"Assist? I have no work needing help," Ganyu's eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"We're under orders to stay here until Lady Ningguang arrives. Please don't make this difficult," Bai Shi bowed again, her peripheral vision lingering on Nathan.

Clearly, their true mission was to watch Nathan.

Since the three insisted on staying, Ganyu didn't protest further.

"Nathan, come here!"

She grabbed his arm, pulling him behind the table.

"Ganyu, what are you doing?"

A blank white paper lay before them.

Ganyu was behind him, her body close.

"Nathan... do you know how to write Liyue script?"

Ganyu leaned forward, her voluptuous form subtly pressing against him.

Nathan's breathing quickened.

A subtle fragrance emanated from behind—different from Ningguang's.

It was a calming, delicate scent, like a rare flower blooming at a mountain's peak.

"No... I don't," he replied truthfully.

In the Genshin world, Liyue's script was called Li Seal, resembling ancient small seal script.

For a modern person accustomed to simplified writing, such calligraphy was completely foreign.

"Can't write? Then let me teach you!"

Her entire weight pressed forward.

Soft hands encircled his neck.
