Capítulo 104: The Dothraki

(Third Person POV)

[Salt Shore, Dorne]

There were flames and smoke all around the town, screams of innocent filled the air as the Dothraki raided and pillaged. The Dothraki had razed the dry plain next to Salt Shore completely, taking out any resistance that House Gargelan had managed to muster. It was a one-sided massacre, the superiority of the Horse-Riders was without a doubt apparent as the Dornish stood no chance against them.

In the sky above the town, Drogon circled around, letting out a vicious roar that shook every soldier to their core. Any survivors left in the onslaught could only look up in terror; massive black wings cast a deep shadow on the ground, the deathly sound of the dragon's roar made everyone think that they were in the underworld.

The mere presence of the dragon was enough to cast despair upon anyone that set their gaze upon it, there was no chance. If they could even show a bit of resistance against the Dothraki, then the dragon would descend upon them and bathe the entire field in flames, eliminating any hopes of survival.

This was Drogon, Khal Daegon's dragon, and the reason that the Dothraki had been so dominant over the past decade in terms of dominating the Dothraki Sea and any other territories in Essos.

In the middle of the town, several dozen people were rounded up by the Dothraki, soldiers and civilians alike. As this happened, Drogon landed hard on the building, crumbling it to the ground as he let out a vicious growl, intimidating foe and friend alike.

Mounted atop him, Daegon leaned forward as he looked at the crowd of people being rounded up. Then, without saying anything, he casually dismounted the dragon as he grabbed his arakh, landing on the ground as Drogon snarled at a nearby dothraki rider.

He made his way toward the crowd as several of his men looked at him.

"Khal. What should we do with these?" One of them asked, "Should we kill them?"

Daegon stopped before the gathering of people, all of them pushed to their knees as they were covered in blood and dirt. He scanned the group, seeing that there was nothing but soldiers and random civilians.

Daegon gestured for his dothraki to get out of the way, saying nothing as he looked carefully at the crowd. He saw that there were no women that suited his liking and as his men got out of the way, Drogon slowly crawled towards them, massive thuds being heard.

"Move our men northbound, create an encampment at a suitable location." Daegon told one of his bloodriders, "The Dornish Lords will try to attack us from all directions."

"Right." His bloodrider said as Daegon looked back at the crowd

One of the soldiers spat on the ground, "You think you'll survive this?" He said, "I don't care if you have a dragon, the Red Viper will kill you and if he doesn't, Rhaegon will!"

Daegon looked at him with a serious expression and pointed his arakh at the crowd, causing the majority of them to flinch.

"Dracarys." He said in high valyrian

Drogon opened his maw and unleashed a stream of flames, bathing the dozens of people gathered in front of them as screams filled the air. The other Dothraki watched as the flames built up heavily, a massive cloud of smoke filling the air as Drogon stopped breathing his flames, stepping back and shaking his neck.

Daegon turned around and walked back to his dragon, "Stupid men." He said in an accent, "What good is a man against a Dragon."

**************

[Sunspear]

"Have you sent word to Rhaegon?" Oberyn said as he was clad in his leather armor, holding one of his spears, "Doran!"

Doran was sitting on his chair as Areo stood next to him, "I did." He said, "The moment he receives word, he'll fly straight here."

Oberyn nodded, "What about our banners?" He said

"They're all mobilizing to begin a counter-assault." Doran said, "I am afraid that it is a full out war, brother. There is nothing but Dothraki hordes spread across our lands."

Oberyn spat on the ground, "Fuck them." He said with a scowl, "I'll gather an army and bring the fight to them. Worry not, just sit there nice and comfortably."

"Oberyn." Doran said with a serious expression, "You best tread lightly. Only fools meet Dothraki in an open field. Especially when they have a dragon."

Oberyn turned around, "This is Dorne, brother." He said as he walked away, "Dragons mean nothing to us and the Dothraki will find out why we are Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken."

As he left, Doran could not help but chuckle, "We were conquered by a single boy in the past, brother." He said softly, "The Young Dragon. And before that, his grandfather gave us a terrible scare."

"You should have more faith, my prince." Areo Hotah said

"I do." He said, "Rhaegon Baratheon will come to aid us. But how many lives will be lost when we vanquish the threat? I simply cannot know....."

Over to Oberyn, he was walking outside to make his way to the stables.

Ellaria ran up to him, "Oberyn!" She called, "Are you leaving now?"

Oberyn stopped and nodded, "I am."

"You should wait for Rhaegon." She said with a worried expression, "If it were just the horse savages, I would not worry, but they have a dragon....."

"I care not for the dragon." Oberyn said, "They are attacking our people. I will go and fight on their behalf. I will kill this Khal who rides a dragon. Did you tell Rhaegon to keep our girls at Summerhall?"

Ellaria nodded, "Yes." She said, "Well...I don't know why you would want that."

"Myrcella Targaryen is with child." Oberyn said, "I want my girls to protect her. To build the trust that I promised Rhaegon."

"Dragon!!" a single shout was heard which caused Oberyn to look up in alarm

"Ready the Scorpions!" another shout

Oberyn looked up at the sky, far above, barely visible, a cream-colored dragon outlined with gold glided through the clouds.

"An attack?" Ellaria said as Oberyn got in front of her defensively

Oberyn squinted and saw that the dragon merely flew by, as if it was just passing through.

Over to the dragon, mounted on it, Syras Blackfyre was looking down casually. She was clad in black leather armor, a gold cloak fluttering in the wind as her dragon let out a roar.

"Hm." She said as she had a serious expression, "Sunspear. Is this the home of the House that Aerion Targaryen traumatized?"

"Pretty pathetic of them."
