Ken glared at Mahira, irritation flaring in his eyes.

"Hubby, calm yourself," Eleis whispered as she stepped up behind him. "You're letting your emotions cloud your judgment. Don't over-exert yourself."

Ken took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment to regain control. "That girl is strong, but that dagger on her waist is special," he said, his voice steadier as he tried to analyze the situation more logically.

Eleis glanced at Mahira and then at the dagger. "Well, what a surprise. It's The Empress's Betrayal, and it looks like little Mahira has a 3% bond with it. What a pity—I wanted to research that dagger myself," she remarked with a playful grin, her mischievous side surfacing once again. "But never mind that. Hubby, I've got a few quests you'll enjoy."
