Capítulo 21: Unwanted guests (Part 1)

What just happened.

Didn't Jirou call over his brother to teach me a lesson?

I guess I was mistaken...

Shira was apparently just as confused as I was. We both stood there, with blank expressions. One moment we were fighting, and the other we're not.

"Well, let's just go to the library I guess.."

Recollecting myself, I left the rooftop alongside Shira.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside of Sunagakure's walls, two dark silhouettes were walking through a sand storm. One of them threw themselves on the ground and groaned in annoyance.

"Shit... These constant sandstorms are going to drive me crazy! I'm starting to have some sand in my underwear!"

"Shut up and keep moving... We're meant to be back at the headquarters by next week. Remember, this is only a scouting mission."

The man on the ground picked himself up and grabbed the other by the collar.

"And now you're bossing me around? You weird zombie!"

"You're asking for it."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After classes had finished, I accompanied Shira all the way to his room. He picked up a small suitcase and dragged me to an isolated backyard that was a couple of streets away.

No one would disturb us here, I thought.

Once there, he opened the case and retrieved a bunch of leg and arm weights. Without asking for my opinion, he proceeded to tie them up around my ankles and wrists.

What Is he... Guy in disguise? Heh, this brings me back.

When he was done, he did the same thing for himself and performed the stance he had earlier today.

"Gaara-Sama... We're going to start training now. I will teach you the style that I have personally come up with. It's still incomplete, but we'll learn as we go. Please replicate this stance as accurately as you can."

Nodding, I performed the stance. Shira came over and started correcting my mistakes by moving around my body.

"Alright, now that you're in this stance... Circulate your chakra and try to maintain it for a minute straight."

I did as he instructed, and molded some chakra before circulating it around my body. To my surprise, the Tenketsu around my chakra-system shook slightly before a small layer of energy was released from all of my pores.

It coated me completely and felt like I was covered in some kind of... mucus.

As I closed my eyes to visualize my current state, I noticed that my muscles were quickly getting tired. The constant stress of releasing and holding the chakra was taking a big toll on them.

(AN: He's entering a partial meditative state in order to visualize his body.)

Fascinating... So just by getting into this stance, I am able to coat myself in chakra? How did Shira find this out...

It surely requires a vast amount of knowledge on the human body and chakra pathway system to accomplish such a feat.

He must have had a teacher... There's no way a five-year-old learned so much by himself.

Struggling due to the pain I was experiencing through my muscles... I counted the sixtieth second and relaxed my body before falling on the floor, exhausted.

With the small amount of strength that I had left, I looked up at Shira and asked him the question that was bothering me.

"Where did you learn so much about anatomy without going to school... Even that diagram of the Tanketsu that you gave me... How do you know so much?"

Shira looked at me with a complicated expression, before smiling and getting up from the boulder he was sitting on.

"Follow me, I want to show you something."

What is it now? Is he going to show me some kind of earth-shattering secret?

Making our way back to the tavern, we exited the alleyway and were about to cross the main street when suddenly, I saw something weird.

Two adult figures were slowly walking in front of us. Recognizing the pattern on their robes, My throat went dry and my stomach began to ache.

Grabbing Shira, I hid back in the alleyway we came from at lightning speed in order to not be noticed.

"What's wrong-"

Shira was about to speak, but he saw my fearful expression and decided to shut his mouth. Ignoring him, I performed the third-eye jutsu in order to check if what I saw was real.

The eye silently hovered above the street, and I caught sight of the two figures once again. Concentrating my chakra around my ears, I was able to hear their conversation.

"Man... That guy's spies really came in clutch for us here. We breezed past the Sand's defenses unnoticed!"

"Stop, I sense something."

Turning his head around, one of the figures caught sight of my eye and they both disappeared without leaving a trace.

...

Before I could process what happened, I felt a cold hand on my shoulder...

I turned my head slowly, and to my surprise, it wasn't Shira that I saw. Two men with black cloaks that covered their entire bodies except for their heads, were standing in front of me.

Their colossal and bloodthirsty auras made my entire body tremble uncontrollably.

I immediately recognized the red cloud pattern on their apparel, and my face paled in fright once again.

"Found you."

AN: If you think this chapter was short, its because it's a part 1. Part two will come soon... Bear with me here.

Who are these people? I bet you know where they're from already...
