Kenta chortled in amusement, but he decided to put a halt to that topic for the time being. The silence in the room stretched on for several seconds. Then he raised his eyebrows slightly when Milo sat up and glanced down at him.
“What?”
“I have a question for you.”
“Okay.”
“If the three of us end up bonding someday in the future—”
“There’s no ‘if’ about it,” Kenta cut Milo off midsentence. “Every part of me yearns to reconnect with you and Jensen. I’m waiting for the two of you to be ready for it.”
“I definitely am,” Jensen insisted while winking at Kenta who simply rolled his eyes a little.
“So am I,” Milo interjected, but he appeared to have some sort of concerns in his mind. “But what’s going to happen to Jensen and me when you’ve reached enlightenment? Based on the stories I’ve read, you will transform into a nine-tailed fox deity. Are Jensen and I going to remain behind on the mortal plane?”
