Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes
Ugh, I'm tired of counting sheep
I need to sleep.
My fingers twitch, my body trembles
Waiting for my alarm to beep

Energy drained yet can't keep still
Almost making me want to weep

Tangled in the sheets from twisting and turning
Dreams only come when it's getting deep

Along with the sunrise
Comes finally finishing another night
I didn't get to sleep.
My battle scars being panda eyes
From my lips come tired lies

My family is resigned
The doctors frown no longer tries to hide

Oxygen to the brain, check
Any disorders apply, denied
I still don't sleep.
New pillows, new bed, new routine
Bamboo, a queen, plenty of time
I still don't sleep.
