Capítulo 44: 44. Oofed
My ears were still ringing from the scolding I had gotten from Rose. She was quite verbal about her displeasure towards me. Which was understandable.
Finally after about an hour of shouting at me she had calmed down and just glared, hard.
"I have to thank you for your concern, I also have to say that it wasn't really my fault. That whole thing was an accident that I couldn't prevent even if I tried. I literally had no control over what happened to my body, but I can tell you that it most likely won't happen again." I try to explain as cold silence greets me with an icy glare. Shaking my head wryly I try another approach. "I'm sorry it won't happen again?"
"It better not! If you know what's good for you!" She says coldly.
Ah, women can be scary sometimes.
"Now I have a question. Let's say I have armor, that I own, that I've personally animated to become alive. Does that count as my equipment or...?" I ask the still angry werewolf woman.
"Can it move on it's own seperate from you?" She asks.
"Yes."
"Does it have a magic core?" She questions.
"No."
"Can it think and or speak independently?"
"Yes."
"Does it require sleep or food?" she asks.
"No."
"The armor comes from you and its powered by your magic correct?" She questions again.
"Yes."
"Does any of the armor come from the dungeon?"
"No."
"One moment." She says standing up and walking off. There are monsters in the dungeon classified as living armors, however this case is different and she needs to speak to her higher ups.
About 20 minutes later she returns.
"They are classified as living equipment provided that they do not have a magical monster core." She states clearly.
"Alright then." I smile happily. That means I don't have to pay for them. "Another question, do I have to pay for all my creatures to be registered or do I hit some kind of limit and people are like this guy knows what he is doing so we can leave him alone and stop charging him so much money."
"You have to pay for all of them to be registered, we still need to give them tags so they won't be attacked in the city, and you will be responsible for them." she says calmly.
"I feel a bit cheated since horses wouldnt have to go through this." I sigh.
"What monsters are you planning to register?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.
"I plan to get the armors Chocobo." I explain.
"A 10 foot tall bird that can use both healing and attacking magic aren't even close with a horse." Rose pointed out.
"Seems I'll have to gather up quite a bit of cash then." Shouldn't be too hard if the knights count as people in the dungeon and increase the spawns.
"Do you have the creatures already?" Rose asks.
"Nope." I deny as I don't want to pay any fines.
Her eyes narrow again. "I thought it was a summon." She asks.
"It is, which means I would have to summon more, which i haven't done yet. They would need saddles and bags made before they could be useful, and I don't have to money to pay for registering them." I tell her honestly.
"Hmph." Still not happy with me I see.
"Well thank you for your help. I'm going to head home and get my armor then head down to the dungeon." I tell her standing up.
"Finally deciding to wear armor huh?" She says snarkily.
"I just got it yesterday. So yes, I told you in would be wearing armor." I could only put up with the snark for now. "I'll be back later on to sell monster cores."
Quickly fleeing the guild I head back to the house.
"Are we going to the dungeon today?" Lili asks.
I shake my head. "Today, you are going shopping for clothes and food for the house with Boko and Hel. I'll start your training tomorrow, but today I'm heading down to the dungeon with the knights for a couple hours to do some speed gathering of cores as we need money and I want to see their skills." she seems down at the prospect of not coming with.
I give her Kitty ears a rub which makes us both feel better before equipping Boko with his saddle and bags. "Make sure you get Boko some fruits and veggies too." I tell Lili passing her money. "Boko make sure you guard the girls and good job yesterday."
"Wark wark!" I pat the large birb and head inside.
Inside I pull out my own set of Judge Magister equipment which I liked the look of. I also upgrade my pouches and knife to better quality ones. Of course I'll be using a new Longsword, also going to try out a Magic Gun.
Gotta admit the Judge armor is rather light and comfortable to wear. Once all my gear is on properly I summon out the knights.
"You look quite dashing my King." One of them says.
"You do look very handsome." Hel says with red cheeks. Lili is also has a strange look on her face seeing her hero in such magnificent armor.
"Thanks." For now I tuck the helmet under my arm, never was much of a fan of helmets. "Anyway we will be back in a bit, just going to quickly gather up monster cores."
"Okay, be safe." Hel says seriously.
"We will protect our king from harm." One of the knights says.
Shaking my head we leave the house and head for the dungeon. Of course we get plenty of looks from people on the way who whisper about our group as our matching equipment is extremely nice looking.
I quickly cast Hastega on the group and we are off at a crazy speed. The increase in level really pumped up my movement speed by a crazy amount and the knights could easily match me.
