Rae answered quickly.

"Rae."

Rae asked him, "Are you still out?" She could hear the wind.

"Yeah."

She asked, "What are you doing outside?"

Wyatt said, "Drinking." He added, "With Yale Allen."

"Asher Harrington's brother?" Her question was a probe to sense the situation.

"Yeah."

"Did you drink a lot?"

Wyatt answered, "A bit."

Rae asked further, "Are you drunk?"

He also answered, "A bit."

Drunk, he stood not quite steady, leaning against the tree trunk. The lush leaves hid the neon lights, veiling him in the dim colors of dusk.

"Then you should hurry back, it's not safe to be out there alone."
