After a very long day that was spent away from her baby, and a very awkward dinner that was mostly spent in silence. Cynthia and Gloria excused themselves to go and have a private conversation.
"Is it really okay for us to have a quiet conversation in here?" Cynthia asked, suddenly feeling that she was being extremely rude to her guest.
But Gloria wasn't really a guest, was she?
Gloria's smile was bright in the dim light, and her eyes were tearful.
"What are you saying? This is my favorite place in the entire mansion, my dear," Gloria said.
Her hand hovered over baby Jay's crib, she caressed the space above his angelic face over and over again not wanting to wake him up. The sight warmed up Cynthia's heart.
