But not to ruin it for Ariel, I decide to give her my own good news.
"I'm so happy too! And guess what? I got accepted into Fang Academy. Though not the type of school I wished to go to for college but this would do and I am getting started in two days time"
Both Ariel and I gave a girlie scream while doing the hand thing to each other.
Girl BFFs for life.
"Which only means I am going to transfer to Fang then. I want to be with my best friend all the time."
Can I have a better and more reliable best friend?
"... I hear Fang Academy can be really dangerous for a human, not to talk of a female one but I am sure someone's mate would have that taken care of." Ariel concludes and bounces on the bed in excitement
My own excitement is over the roof too and I bounce on her and tickle her
"I can't wait!" I manage to exclaim amidst all our laughter

Later that day while I was busy in my room checking out the box of school supplies which had arrived not long after Ariel left my room and I have to admit, for a jerk like Damien he seems very thoughtful.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear the door open behind me.
I felt a presence in the room and turned around.
Guess who walked into my room without knocking?
Yeah. Him.
"I won't be surprised if knock is not in your dictionary. What if I was undressed?"
Oh shit.
Take the damn hint Crystal.
I blushed as soon as I said those words. I totally remember what happened the last time I was alone with him in this same room.
"Good thing you are not. I'm not sure it would be something I'd love to see because it would not be a pleasing sight to see" He remarked.
He always has a damn reply to everything.
I felt terribly insulted. The nerve he has. " What do you want"I glare at him.
"Oh don't be a sour person. I told you yesterday I will be introducing you to the basic staff today" He marched me out of the room towards the stairs.
"By the way, thanks for the supplies and for sorting out everything for me without having me go through a lot of stress"I told him.
I don't like this, I don't want to have to thank him for anything and the image of him with that lady this morning reeled in my head again.
And to my thanks, he only gave me a simple "Hm" and pushed me into a half empty kitchen area. I suppress the urge to spin around to glare at him but it is certain that one of these days I am definitely going to slap him.
"Alpha"
Everyone gathered around bowing their heads and arranging themselves in an orderly manner. I nervously rub my hands at the nape of my neck. I see Damien see that move and look away hurriedly.
What was that?
An older woman steps forward and bows before she starts to introduce the maids one by one and their duties in the kitchen and the dos and donts of the kitchen.
I stare at them, silently taking everything in when another figure walk into the room.
Female Wolf.
She looks kind of familiar though and I have to admit, she's very pretty and easy on the eyes. Almost like she didn't see me beside Damien, she smiles at him and like you see a bug in your food as soon as she saw me, her smile died down like it was never there.
"Lola, where have you been? You ought to have been here since. You knew we had visitors..." The elder woman asked her.
Lola. She even has a nice name.
"I don't want you associating with servants since you're my mate so..." Damien says to me
Is he fucking trying to patronize me? He is a bigger jerk than I thought. A shameless one too. Smiling at a lady when his so called mate is right beside him.
"Then why did you introduce us?" I really want to know more about this Lola. There's obviously something up with her.
Ah, that's it!
That smile said it all.
I should have known she's part of Damien's slut girls. Does he have no end to them?
I free my arm from Damien's and gave him a very dirty look. I won't bother myself with him anymore, both times I've seen him today has been totally disappointing.
"Don't bother" I hiss and hurry up to my room while I take the stairs down three at a time.
I don't want to see him anymore today.
