"Everit!" Suddenly, a voice called out.
"Huh? Tiffany, my perfect girlfriend, what brings you here?" Everit replied casually. He found Tiffany's hot-blooded and aggressive nature quite appealing now. Together, they could indulge in passionate activities daily.
"."
Tiffany frowned and said disdainfully, "Don't call me that. I'm not interested in you, a guy who's clearly fragile, violent, and self-righteous."
"The violent queen calling me violent?" Everit exclaimed in surprise.
'Boom!'
In an instant, Tiffany appeared before Everit and punched him squarely.
Without his protective scales, Everit was knocked down by a single blow.
As Tiffany stormed off with Everit in tow, Brain listened to the commotion below and hesitantly remarked, "Could it be that we didn't last as long as those bastards?"
Silence fell among the others.
No one dared to speak.
Feeling humiliated.
In the wilderness.
Tiffany threw Everit onto the grass and declared, "Enough, Crispy Goose!"
"Tiffany, what are you doing?" Everit clutched his stomach, grimacing in pain.
"These Oración Seis are pure evil. It's my duty to defeat them and protect my comrades."
"I will safeguard everyone in Fairy Tail!"
Tiffany sighed. This guy had truly gone from one extreme to another.
"Miko, please return him to his original form," she requested.
"I'm sorry, Miss Tiffany," Miko replied, shaking her head. "I can only follow Everit's commands."
"Everit!" She grabbed his collar. "Have you forgotten what you once said? A peaceful life is the greatest treasure. Fame isn't what you need."
"Look at what you've done. You defeated the Oración Seis and the former Wizard Saint Jellal in mere minutes."
"Are you planning to become the new Wizard Saints and seek fame?"
"Why not? If you're strong, show it off," Everit declared proudly. "With my talent, I should be the strongest!"
"I aspire to be the greatest wizard and the top Wizard Saint!"
"I aim to lead Fairy Tail as its guild master and make it the strongest in the world!"
"Snap out of it!" Tiffany swung, but Everit vanished in a blur.
He had deceived her senses.
"Trying to escape?" Tiffany's right hand glowed with a red line on her ring finger, extending outward.
"Damn it!" Everit raged, finding his left ring finger also ensnared by a red line. No matter where he fled, there was no escape!
Tiffany pursued along the crimson line, seizing Everit and pinning him down.
She pressed Everit's back firmly with her thigh, her strength making Everit unable to resist.
"Idiot, violent female gorilla! If you're so capable, don't resort to using the Marriage Lock!" Everit spat angrily.
"Why shouldn't I? I risked everything to bind a slippery demon like you," Tiffany retorted.
Four years earlier, she had taken on a mission to eliminate a dark guild.
It turned out that Everit had been an undercover agent there, investigating forbidden magic at the time.
During Tiffany's battle with the dark guild, she mistook Everit for an enemy.
Everit had intended to tease this fierce girl.
Little did he know, Tiffany was so determined during the fight that she resorted to the "Marriage Lock."
Tiffany wielded Chain Magic, capable of transforming various materials into chains and controlling them.
Grass, stone—everything could become her chains.
The strongest among them was the Blood Chain, known for its defense and sharpness.
Within the Blood Chain was a special one-time use chain—the "Marriage Lock."
Originally meant to bind her spouse, this chain linked their fates, allowing them to borrow each other's magic.
Everit could now tap into her magic from a distance, but she can't use Everit's deception magic.
At that moment, she contemplated that perhaps they should face death together. She couldn't allow this formidable and elusive dark wizard to threaten the world—once the marriage lock was in place, Everit's magic would no longer affect her.
Everit was now dumbfounded, realizing that clarifying the misunderstanding was futile.
Despite the Marriage Lock, Everit harbored intense disdain for Tiffany, the aggressive female gorilla.
And Tiffany, in turn, dubbed Everit "crispy goose"—as haughty as a goose, but just as crispy.
Her straightforward nature clashed irreconcilably with Everit's dark persona.
So.
The two had been avoiding each other, their relationship strained.
Later, when Mirajane found out, she introduced Tiffany to Everit in hopes they would become friends. Despite Mirajane's efforts, the underlying cause of their conflict remained unresolved.
Unless, of course, Everit completely changed his personality, which no one desired.
Especially Tiffany.
"What are you doing?!" Tiffany's face flushed red as she felt someone teasing her thigh.
"So soft and bouncy," Everit remarked. "This feels rather nice."
"Sniff - Hmm, it smells quite good. Take off your shoes and show me, jailer."
"You, have you turned from S to M!" Tiffany was furious, grabbing Everit's ear. "If you keep this up, I'll call Miss Mirajane right away!"
"Is that supposed to be a threat?" Everit chuckled, teasing even more.
"You, you... have you thought about what will happen—" Tiffany paused, then continued, "If Mirajane finds out about this, she'll be devastated!"
"Tsk, why should I care if she cries or not," Everit sneered. "But I am getting bored of this game, so I'll let you go."
He released his grip and sighed, "Miko."
Miko extended her hand and touched Everit's body.
A surge of magical power beyond Nirvana erupted.
'Whoosh—'
A gust of wind swept through.
"Ah, it hurts, it hurts! You violent she-gorilla, let me go, you scoundrel! You took advantage and hit me!" Everit screamed.
Tiffany stood up, her posture firm.
"Hiss—" Everit sat up, feeling sore all over!
"This is the aftermath of overdoing it with training," Everit groaned. "Damn, the pain is unbearable. Fighting in person is definitely the worst option! This pain will probably linger for days. Damn it!"
He even envisioned the discomfort of squatting down over the next few days.
"Is it that bad?" Tiffany looked at him disdainfully.
"You wanna try it?!" Everit retorted angrily.
"It's not like I haven't pushed myself to the limit before. I break through my limits every day in training," Tiffany replied.
"I can't reason with a tough girl like you." Everit turned away, gently massaging his sore joints.
Observing this, Tiffany squatted down and reached out to press Everit's calf.
"Ah—" Everit yelped, quickly pulling his leg away. He glared at Tiffany and snapped, "What are you doing!"
"Silly, you've got to massage it firmly in this situation. It'll feel much better tomorrow and the day after," Tiffany explained, pressing Everit's calf again and rubbing carefully.
Everit gritted his teeth, his face contorted in pain.
"Heh." Tiffany chuckled at Everit's expression, then reached out and pulled his head into her embrace. "Distract yourself."
"..."
Half a minute passed.
Everit pushed Tiffany away abruptly, took a deep breath, and declared, "I give up!"
"You really don't know how to appreciate good care. Fine," Tiffany stood up, saying, "You subdued that old man earlier, but he's not dead. It's just a lead. I'm going after him now. You just stay put."
"Wait, no!" Everit grabbed her ankle.
"Why?" Tiffany looked at him curiously.
"I didn't ask for your help, so you should send me back the way you brought me here," Everit insisted.
"You still want to go back?" Tiffany frowned. "You've already defeated them, and your friends are about to arrive in that city. Can't you just leave the rest to them?"
"No!" Everit clenched his teeth. "We can't let them find out that I handled the Oración Seis and Jellal alone. That would stir up major trouble. I don't want to attract attention!"
Tiffany was left speechless. Just moments ago, this guy was insisting the opposite—now he had swung to the other extreme.
"So what's your plan now?" Tiffany asked.
"I got beaten up by the Oración Seis. Pretending to be defeated won't work," Everit replied.
"You're the one who clearly defeated them," Tiffany pointed out.
"My whole body is in pain!"
"Because you never exercise normally. It's muscle strain," Tiffany explained.
"I don't care!" Everit retorted arrogantly. "You brought me here; you're responsible for taking me back. I want to face the Oración Seis again!"
"What a mess," Tiffany sighed, grabbing Everit.
"Be gentle!" Everit protested.
"Yes, yes, young lord," Tiffany said helplessly, handling him more delicately.
Meanwhile, Brain and the others still lay on the ground, staring at the stars.
Little did they know, a sinister voice would return.
"Can you still stand?"
