Capítulo 38: A Spoiled Daughter

She rubbed her flicked hand and looked at him with an aggrieved face like a young kid. She wanted to act spoiled if it would save her from talking to that boy!

Even the thought of looking at him creeped her out but when she noticed his stern gaze, she knew that playing time was already over.

She smiled sweetly and blinked innocently as if she did not understand the meaning behind his gaze but still turned to look at the guests. But that was it!

She did not nod or greet them which made the marquis feel awkward.

He looked at his son and brought him forward.

"I came here to meet his majesty over some political matters when I came to know that the princess has been shifted to the central palace.

Coincidentally, my son had joined me too. I thought it would be a good idea for both of you to meet since the princess did not have any playmate." he gently nudged his son at the end of his conversation who bowed his head gracefully.
