"That guy did not stop trying to make you suffer even after he framed you and you were on the other side of the portal."
"That damn guy..."
"... The game I talked to you about was his creation. I guess he wanted to turn everyone into zombies, but his calculations were not precise enough, so we have the Awakeners. So I started to tell Yuuki everything that had happened during my stay in Harnej, but without mentioning the incident with Araya. I do not want to remember that now, I am already devastated by what I heard before, but most of all I do not want any pity from Yuuki.
"Damn brother, you have had it rough. But how come you always meet girls? Are you planning to start a harem or something?" He said and smiled.
"Oh, shut up. I only accept Miko as my girl. No one else."
"Mmm, I see. Well, then onto our second current problem."
"We have another one?"
"Yes, because when you meet with the superiors, you can not just casually say your name."
"Why not?"
"Because you were a wanted criminal before you left and you still are. Not only that, but they blame you for releasing the virus because they say you did it because you wanted revenge on the police who put your mother in prison."
"What did they do?" I said angrily, getting up from the sofa.
"Relax and sit down. Those were just the rumours. Your mother was safe, do not worry about it. But because of those rumours, now you have to find a new name."
"Hmm, I see. Well then let me think of something."
"Remember, it should be a female name."
"Yes, yes, I know. Hmm... Okay, I found one. You can call me Evelyev. Eve for short."
"Hmm, that's a nice one. I like your name, Eve." He said with a smile.
"So, when is this interrogation going to start?"
"I do not know. Probably when you see Miko coming here to get you. But remember, forget everything you knew. Shinji does not exist anymore. You are Evelyev."
I nodded my head in agreement. To be honest, I did not expect him to say something like that. Everything has changed, I think. Well, it seems that I have to change, too, if I want to survive here.
While I was thinking all this, Miko came in and led me and Ayuri out of the room, probably to meet these so-called superiors.
As soon as Yuuki saw Miko, he immediately moved away from me to pretend that he did not know me and was just supervising me the whole time.
We walked down the hallway once again.
Damn, how long is it? We walked for at least five minutes until we finally arrived at two large doors at the end of the hallway.
The doors were made of wood and had a strange symbol in the middle. I guess that's their logo?
Miko walked in front of us and opened the two doors.
The creaking of the doors penetrated into the hallway. As the doors opened, a line of light formed in front of us until the light was so bright that I could not make out what was in front of me.
Miko pushed me and I found myself in a huge room.
My surroundings were pitch black. The only thing I could see was a circle of light around me emanating from a light source on the ceiling.
I could not see any people there, not even those supervisors.
But suddenly, as I looked around, a voice echoed through the room.
