Capítulo 10: Chapter 10

“Why?” I asked Mofe, and he shook his head then shrugged.

“I don’t know, don’t ask me. What’s up with you?” He glanced at my phone that had been ringing again and again for well over an hour.

“You should pick that up”

“You owe me chocolates” I muttered and he threw his arms around me causing me to laugh.

“How is Samuel?” I asked. Mofe is a close friend. Initially, he was supposed to come with Sammy and the others but he decided to come earlier for some reason and no matter how hard I tried, he wouldn’t tell. I just hoped Sammy didn’t put him up to this.

“He’s fine” I honestly doubted that. Hopefully, it wasn’t that he had gotten addicted to some drug. We both knew just how Samuel could over-do things depending on his mood.

“So, will you tell me who Mr. Pierce is?” on cue, the phone rang again and I excused myself before answering the call.

“Where are you?” His voice was hoarse and I exhaled.

“I told you –”

“I’m coming to pick you up!”
