''How did it go?" Rezeph grabbed the trident from her hand before throwing it onto the bed. 

Esme's jaw dropped as she stared at the man, wide-eyed. It took her a few moments to regain her composure, ''It went well. Lucy handled everything and I am so relieved that you sent her with me...'' 

Rezeph rolled his eyes, ''Keep those lies for your in-laws. Did you feel uncomfortable after using the trident for the first time, precious?" 

And just that, Esme felt like her soul flew out of her body.

It was not the first time in the night that she felt shocked, ''I... I didn't...'' 

Rezeph narrowed his eyes. 

Esme's shoulder slumped, ''How did you know?" 

Esme did not think she acted suspicious or she let anyone feel that she was hiding her abilities. 

She barely used her powers all this while.
