"Welcome home, son." Song Liqin cheerfully greeted, standing up upon seeing her only son visiting home after a long time. She wanted to run and hug him but stopped herself after remembering his condition. Sitting back down without greeting Xiong Jingfei, she nodded her head to one of the seats, "Sit."

Yang Zheyan sat down and pulled Xiong Jingfei to sit down right next to him. Even though Song Liqin didn't acknowledge her, she still politely made a slight bow to acknowledge Yang Zheyan's parents. Song Liqin moved closer to her son, "Have you eaten? I can have your favorite food made for you immediately." 

Without waiting for Yang Zheyan's answer, she instructed one of the maids to hurry up and prepare the food.
