Capítulo 47: Chapter 47: Day Two and R.M.A?

So, now that everything regarding those pests had been dealt with, I looked down at Idonea, who was having a difficult time just trying to stand up while still undecided on what I should do with her now that she was my follower.

'Illumia, since you wanted me to accept Idonea as a follower, do you have any suggestions on what I should do with her?' Asked Elif via divine sense.

'There are a few options that I can suggest; the first one would be to assign her as one of your attendants alongside me, although it would severely limit the time she would have to cultivate and improve herself. The second option would be to do nothing, allowing her to do what she wants while only calling upon her when she is needed; currently, this option is quite good since you do not need another follower. The third option, and the one I highly recommend, would be to send her to the Royal Military Academy, a place where she will be given plenty of opportunities to increase her cultivation and advance her abilities; however, her joining that place will also greatly increase the chances of her death as that place is quite brutal with only the strong managing to survive.' Said Illumia, informing Elif of some of the better options available to him via divine sense.

The options Illumia told me were not bad, and even before I asked Illumia, I had been thinking of doing the second option; however, while I've heard of the Royal Military Academy from some of the Royal Guards conversing amongst each other, I never thought of that as an option since I don't know much about it.

'Why would you highly recommend the Royal Military Academy Illumia?' Asked Elif via divine sense.

'While the Royal Military Academy, R.M.A for short, is a very dangerous and brutal place, with the surviving rate being merely one percent, those one percent that managed to survive are considered the best, each one of them being greatly talented in their own right. While deadly, the R.M.A has an abundant amount of resources and privileges accessible to their academy students, though to get them, you must work for them. Lastly, it is the place I went through during my younger days before I met her majesty and became her right hand.' Answered Illumia via divine sense.

Finding out that Illumia is one of mothers followers was something I wasn't expecting. Still, it didn't surprise me much, considering whenever mother talks to her, she is much less overbearing than when speaking with the nobles.

"Idonea, have you heard of the Royal Military school?" Asked Elif, as it seemed like he had finally decided on what to do with Idonea.

"Yes, your highness." Answered Idonea, looking quite pale from her injuries.

"Well, after some thinking, I've decided that having you attend the R.M.A would be best, as I'm not actually in need of another servant currently." Said Elif, closely observing Idonea's face, looking for any expression, though sadly for him, he received nothing of the sort.

"I understand, your highness." Replied Idonea, with no change in her facial expression while bowing.

"You don't seem the least bit nervous." Commented Elif jokingly as he noticed Idonea's lack of facial expression, though when he thought about it, it made sense, considering she hadn't shown fear in previous situations that could've resulted in her death.

"I've lived most of my life with the threat of death always looming around me, your highness, so the R.M.A doesn't scare me." Responded Idonea while remembering all the times she's nearly died in the past.

"Alright, well, that's good; here's a little gift, and since you've lost, you can head to the R.M.A tomorrow unless you wish to continue with the tournament, as that was your first loss." Said Elif as he threw Marquess Vann's dimension ring at Illumia.

"No, I'll head to the R.M.A tomorrow, your highness; I have no reason to fight, as I only wanted the winning prize; this gift is more than enough." Answered Idonea with a bow before she slowly headed back to the room to heal with the dimension ring already on her finger.

While Idonea was inside the bedroom healing, I looked down at the arena only to see the announcer speaking to the crowd. That was enough for me to realize that the tournament for today was over, so I stood up and headed toward the carriage to return home.

Once I arrived at my carriage, I noticed all of the guards standing unnaturally alert as they surrounded the carriage, though that only caused me to smirk as I'm pretty confident they watched the tournament using the crystal ball; however, I didn't bother exposing them and just sat down within the carriage.

Nothing interesting happened on our way home, though when I passed the gate leading to the palace, I sensed Elaine running toward the carriage along with mother and father standing in the distance.

When the carriage came to a stop, I opened the door, and the moment I did, Elaine jumped into the carriage and quickly ran toward me with an expression full of worry.

"Big brother, are you okay!?" Asked Elaine, teary-eyed while checking for any injuries, though when she found he was completely fine, she calmed down and sat on Elifs' lap.

"Why are you so worked up, Elaine? With how powerful I am, do you think your big brother could ever get hurt?" Said Elif with a chuckle as he poked Elaine's soft and chubby cheeks before rubbing her head.

"When I was watching you on the crystal ball, I saw you get hurt a bunch of times, but I was probably wrong, as how could big brother ever get hurt? You're the strongest, after all!" Declared Elaine with happiness and pride when she mentioned Elif, though her words caused Elif's face to twitch.

'I've made a terrible mistake; I may be able to fool her today, but what about tomorrow? I'll have to fight against Alf, and I will most definitely get injured fighting her, let alone fighting Marley, who is even stronger.' Thought Elif, realizing his actions of boasting about himself to Elaine had betrayed him.

While mentally sighing, I stood up with Elaine in my arms and walked out for the carriage heading towards mother and father.

"So, my baby boy has acquired his first follower all by himself; congratulations!" Announced Maria in joy as she picked up Elif and Elaine and tightly hugged them while rubbing her cheeks against both of theirs.

"Mother, can you calm down? It was merely one follower; besides, she won't even be of use for a while." Said Elif as he hugged Maria as well before trying to escape from her grasp; though the attempt was futile, even after using all of his strength, Maria didn't even look fazed.

"Even if you say that, Elif, attaining your first follower by yourself is something you should be proud of as you have just taken your first step into becoming an excellent Emperor." Mentioned Marcus with a smile as he ruffled Elif's hair, much to his annoyance.

"That may be so, father, but it doesn't feel special or anything; also, how did you two know I even gained a follower? Did Illumia inform both of you?" Replied Elif, asking a question of his own, though Maria smirked in response.

"Everything that happens within the Empire is under our divine sense, so it's only natural that we know what's going on in the city we live in." Stated Maria proudly when she saw both Elif and Elaine's shocked faces.

"Woah, the whole Empire!? I didn't know mother was so amazing!?" Shouted Elaine as she looked up at Maria in astonishment.

"The whole Empire!? I can barely even cover the entirety of Yggdrasil with my divine sense, let alone the whole Empire!" Stated Elif, even more shocked than Elaine as he understood how incredible that truly was.

"Well, we can cover the entire Empire in our divine sense, but we rarely do so; we usually only cover Yggdrasil and the near surroundings with our divine sense." Said Maria, no longer trying to show off to her children.

"That's amazing and all, mother, but can you let us go now, please." Asked Elif while Elaine and himself were still being tightly hugged by Maria.

Once mother let us go, I fixed my hair and appearance and followed alongside Elaine as we headed back to the palace, though I made sure to have Illumia do something I almost forgot about.

"Illumia, tomorrow accompany Idonea to where the R.M.A is located, can't have her getting killed while traveling between cities; it would be a waste if she died like that."

"Yes, your highness." Said Illumia as she followed behind Elif.

Once again, I'm at the coliseum, currently in my private booth sitting down on my throne while eating some lighting cherries; though there is one thing that is different than usual, and that is Illumia is not beside me, instead in her place is Mandy, the captain of my personal royal guards.

Now the reason she is present instead of Illumia is because Illumia had taken Idonea with her to the R.M.A, in whichever city that is located at. Something that I didn't know but probably should've, is that we have teleportation formations between different cities as well, so Idonea would have been able to head to the R.M.A by herself, but apparently, the R.M.A only accepts students once every five years. That time had already passed, so Idonea would not have been allowed entrance, but since she's now my follower, she can enter easily; Illumia just said it'll just take a little bit of time to complete the paperwork before everything is completed.

However, when Mandy found out that Illumia won't be beside me, she refused to leave my side, and no matter what I said, she would ignore me and continue to follow me, so I just gave up, and now here we are.

'I appreciate she's taking her job seriously, but it doesn't matter where I'm at; mother and father are always watching over me; even if someone were stupid enough to attack me, they would be killed before they could even attempt to do so.' Thought Elif with a shake of his head while he looked over to the short women standing beside him wearing amour representing the Royal Guards.
