Capítulo 291: Chapter 291: Phoenix-Napping Little Ember
Waiting for a response that never came, I slightly frowned and approached Ember, whom I had unknowingly hypnotized with my perfect beauty despite covering my face with my Quạt tay to purposefully conceal my enhanced charm in hopes of avoiding situations like this.
'Heh, who am I kidding; even if I were to conceal my face fully, I'd still mesmerize any woman.' Thought Elif narcissistically with a smirk as he lightly fanned himself while standing before Ember.
Clearing my throat, I folded my Quạt tay and gently tapped Ember's head, finally getting her to snap out of her hypnotized state while I swiftly opened my Quạt tay, concealing most of my face lest I happened to hypnotize her once more.
"Eh? P-P-Prince E-Elif!?" Exclaimed Ember as she glanced at Elif, widening her eyes in shock before quickly bowing, though she couldn't as he grabbed her shoulder, stopping her.
"You can save that for later; we've got much more pressing matters to deal with. Such as why you came here in the first place." Said Elif lightly as he furrowed his brows slightly while eyeing Ember, who widened her eyes before quickly nodding solemnly.
"Now, while we're waiting for Elaine to finish her bath, tell me any information regarding the Flame of Rebirth." Ordered Elif with a nod as he retracted his hand from Ember, who inwardly sighed before shaking her head.
"W-Well, I don't know much. I'm just a young phoenix with some talent, so I have barely any authority, but while I was walking through the halls of the Manor, I happened to pass Patriarch Renata, and in doing so, I heard him utter the words '…Flame of Rebirth. The Elven Empire shall pay!' with a livid expression." Replied Ember softly as she tried her best to imitate Renata's voice, though her lack of Qi control prevented her from doing so perfectly, though her words were still enough to alarm Elif, who deeply frowned behind his Quạt tay.
"I-I'm sorry I don't have any more information; I'm just an insignificant Clan member, and I thought it would've been weird if I tried to discern what went wrong, so I just came straight here in hopes of warning-" Adde Ember lightly in shame as she hung he head down, only to be interrupted by Elif who had bent down and lifted her head up by the chin.
"It's fine; I hadn't ever expected you to do this in the first place, so your assistance is already a pleasant surprise, little Ember." Said Elif softly as he forced Ember to stare into his mesmerizing purple eyes with her flaming green pupils.
"Though, if you continue to linger around too long, you'll be found out and be branded as a traitor if something serious has happened with the Flame of Rebirth, even if you're not thrown into prison to rot for the rest of your life, you'll be crippled of your cultivation and exiled from the Clan, which is essentially a death sentence for you. The Clan's territory is devoid of most wildlife, but there are still plenty of beasts capable of killing you; you'll die before you get anywhere near the edge of the territory." Stated Elif lightly as he gently stroked Ember's cheek while her expression turned ulgier the more he spoke until her rosy cheeks were as pale as can be.
"T-T-Those are t-t-the p-p-possible p-punishments, P-Prince E-E-Elif?" Asked Ember softly with an expression of terror as she looked at Elif, who lightly nodded with an amused smirk, causing her to once again hang her head.
"W-W-Well, a-at least, I-I m-manged to w-warn you." Muttered Ember fearfully with a forced smile as she slowly came to terms with her near future and inevitable death while Elif raised an eyebrow.
"Hmm, I'm curious, Ember; I know I'm incredibly charming beyond belief and the man of every woman's dream; however, despite only meeting once, you seem to be unnaturally favoring me. Even going so far as to betray your own Clan and risk death to warn me; why is that?" Asked Elif curiosuly as he squatted down and looked into Ember's eyes, while she just rubbed her head lightly and sighed.
"I-I don't really know, Prince Elif; f-four years ago when you rubbed me on our first meeting, back then I was merely fond of you, just like every other Phoenix, yet once I was fully accepted as a member of the Clan, I started to research you, and slowly, I-I grew more than a fondness for you. I-I wanted to help you achieve whatever you wanted and to do so, I-I needed to become your servant, and that's what I've been aiming to do for the past years." Declared Ember lightly with a faint blush and a lovely smile as she looked at Elif before glancing down at her hands.
"I-I don't really know why I want to do so, m-maybe I just want to help the person who made me feel warm inside whenever he touched me? Maybe that's why. But now… All of that is pointless." Added Ember softly before shaking her head and lowering her hand as a wave of sadness overtook her.
Now, I wasn't really surprised by Ember's desire; there were many, and I mean MANY, people who wanted the same, though the ones who didn't have an ulterior motive were most likely less than five percent, the ones I'm fond of were next to null.
'A third servant? I am not opposed to the idea, but she must prove herself just like Idonea and Marley. I may be somewhat fond of her, but I will not just allow anyone to become one of my followers.' Mused Elif thoughtfully as he gazed at the depressed Ember before lightly shaking his head.
"Well, regarding those earlier punishments, Ember, they only count if you've been caught; after all, are you really breaking any rules if no one ever manages to punish you for them?" Asked Elif with a mischievous smirk hidden behind his Quạt tay while Ember wiped her teary eyes before raising her head and looking at him in confusion.
"From personal experience, I can say Her Majesty would say no." Said Illumia softly as she stood near Elif, reminiscing about the days when Maria's orders forced her to break numerous rules.
"W-What do you mean, P-Prince Elif?" Asked Ember softly as she tilted her head, unable to comprehend the underlying meaning, which earned a flick on the head from Elif.
"Simple, just don't get caught. I'm sure from your perspective, it may be impossible since you're just a budding phoenix from a divine hegemony with no real power or authority, but did you forget who you're speaking to? I'm the Crown Prince of the Immortal Elven Empire." Stated Elif proudly as he fanned himself while Ember's eyes suddenyl widened in shock.
"Y-You'd be willing to help me, P-Prince Elif!?" Exclaimed Ember in glee as she gazed at Elif in shock while he lightly nodded.
"I believe it's only fair, after all, if I do nothing, there is a very high chance that your future has been ruined from your earlier actions, not to mention I'm somewhat fond of you, so there is that." Replied Elif with a faint smirk as he nodded, though before Ember could express her joy, his face suddenly twitched.
'Welp, Elaine has finished bathing; if she discovers Ember's existence, she may die before she leaves this residence.' Mused Elif wryly as he watched Elaine exit the bath through his divine sense, scanning every inch of her heavenly body, which caused her to smile.
"We shall continue this conversation later, little Ember, and here is a little extra reward for informing me." Said Elif as he placed his finger atop Ember's lips while forcefully suppressing her with his vastly superior cultivation base before folding his Quạt tay.
Grabbing Ember's little chin, I leaned forward and gave her a simple kiss on the lips, nothing passionate like I've done with Illumia, Marley, or Idonea and not even close to what Elaine and I have done, but either way, I could tell her body and soul had frozen from the touching of our lips.
'Hmm, a little spicy, not bad at all.' Mused Elif lightly as he licked his lips and stood up while gazing at the frozen Ember, who suddenly fainted.
Catching Ember before she could fall onto the ground, I covered her in my Qi before storing her inside my dimension ring, placing her right beside Hokori, doing so just in time for Elaine to exit the room with a lovely smile.
"B~R~O~T~H~E~R!" Said Elaine with a sultry tone as she skipped towards Elif, causing him to take a moment to appreciate her beauty before opening his arms and catching her.
"Now, before I reprimand you for the umpteenth time for leaping at me, we must leave Elaine; after undergoing the Rebirth Ritual, something unforeseen happened, and let's just say we're no longer considered welcomed guests, or possibly even guests for that matter." Declared Elif solemnly as he looked down at Elaine, who was snuggled in his warms, only for her expression to harden.
"What do you mean, Brother?" Asked Elaine seriously as she reluctantly removed herself from Elif's embrace while walking side-by-side down the hall with Illumia and Maxim following them.
"I don't know exactly, but it sounds rather critical, as Mother and Father have ordered us to leave." Replied Elif with a deep frown as he and Elaine exited the residence, only to see Zanga and several guards blocking the royal carriage.
