Capítulo 269: Chapter 269: Sibling's Or Lover's Banter
Currently, I am in the throne room, sitting on my small throne beside Father while he and Mother spoke with a few nobles; now that I'm officially an adult, by tradition, I'm required to attend certain meetings in preparation for when I ascend to the throne. It was, without a doubt, annoying and tedious since most of the time, I was just meant to silently watch and learn how Mother and Father manage their daily duties of being the Emperor and Empress, and while they'll occasionally ask for input, it's far and few in-between, which means, I'm actually forced to pay attention.
However, thankfully, right now, I'm merely waiting for Elaine so she and I can finally head toward the Divine Phoenix Clan; this is one of the rare opportunities where I just have to act like a pretty face, so I wasn't really complaining.
'Though, if Elaine doesn't hurry up, Mother or Father might ask me something, and it'll be a shameful display if I can't answer.' Mused Elif lightly as he rested his head on his fist while gazing at the numerous nobles down below, nodding as if he was genuinely involved in the conversation.
A few minutes passed by, and finally, the throne room doors opened, followed by Elaine and that fool Maxim entering, causing me to smile and stand up as I completely ignored the latter.
"I apologize for the interruption, but I'll be leaving now." Said Elif with a happy smile as he stood up and looked at the numerous nobles before glancing at Maria and Marcus, prompting the latter to raise his hand and silence the nobles.
"You're leaving for the Phoenix Clan, correct?" Asked Marcus with a raised eyebrow as he looked at Elif, who nodded while gracefully walking down the steps and approaching Elaine.
"Yes, Father, we had intended to leave a little bit earlier before the meeting started, but Elaine forced us to wait." Replied Elif with a nod as he gave Elaine an annoyed look before reaching down and lightly pinching her nose.
"You sure took your sweet time, Elaine." Said Elif with a small frown as he lightly shook Elaine from her nose, causing her to pout before looking at Maria.
"Mother, Brother is bullying me!" Yelled Elaine with a pitiful expression as she ignored Elif while looking at Maria, who failed at concealing her smile.
"Hehe, Elif, stop bullying your sister." Said Maria with a soft chuckle and a motherly smile as she eyed Elif, causing him to huff in annoyance before he removed his hand.
Looking at Elaine rub her nose while sticking her tongue out at me, I felt my face twitch in annoyance as I once again grabbed her nose, pinching it harder than before.
"My little sister is being quite the troublemaker today, it seems." Remarked Elif with an unamused expression as he pinched Elaine's nose, only for his ear to suddenly get pulled.
"What did I say about bullying Elaine, Elif?" Asked Maria with furrowed brows as she stood beside Elif while eyeing him, causing him to roll his eyes before releasing Elaine's nose.
"Hmph, she started it first, Mother; she stuck her tongue out at me. I can't just take her disrespect without retaliating; I'd lose my pride as the elder brother." Replied Elif with a slightly pained expression as he glanced at Elaine, who was boldly sticking her tongue out before glancing at Maria, trying to garner her sympathy since she was also an elder sibling.
"Hmm, I do understand what you're referring to. Marcus also used to be annoying, but you can't just go around using violence; that's not solving your problem, is it?" Remarked Maria with a raised eyebrow as she nodded while releasing Elif's ear, causing him to gently rub it while Marcus's face constantly twitched.
"That is incredibly rich coming from you, Maria; if I'm not mistaken, most of my childhood was you bullying me and treating me like a servant." Declared Marcus with an irritated expression as he intently eyed Maria, who softly blushed before awkwardly looking away and clearing her throat.
"A-Anyways, be safe, you two; I don't need anything to happen to my children on their little honeymoon, and remember, although the chances are slim, no children." Stated Maria as she ignored Marcus and intently looked at both Elif and Elaine before sternly eyeing Elif, who softly blushed and looked away.
"I-If Elaine asks for it-" Muttered Elif softly as he gave Maria a side glance, though he was promptly interrupted by Marcus's indifferent voice.
"Elif."
"Haa, alright, I promise I won't do it, Mother and Father." Said Elif with a sigh of defeat as he raised his hand into the air, causing both Maria and Marcus to sigh in relief while Elaine cutely chuckled.
"Well, with that out of the way, here you go, little miss; I'm only cutting your punishment short because of this unique situation." Said Maria as she summoned Elaine's dimension from her own before handing it to her, causing her to happily smile and wear it.
"Hehe, thanks, Mother." Said Elaine while wearing her silver dimension on her finger, causing Maria to rub her head with a motherly smile.
"Heh, my baby girl may be a woman, but she's still so cute." Muttered Maria while rubbing Elaine's head, causing her to pout as she grumbled under her breath.
Chuckling at Elaine's misfortune, I grabbed her hand while removing Mother's hand from her head since it seemed like she wouldn't do it anytime soon.
"We're leaving now, Mother and Father; we should be returning within two weeks at the latest." Said Elif while holding Elaine's hand as the two turned around and started walking towards the entrance.
"You've acquired the required ingredients from Grandmother?" Asked Marcus curiously, earning a nod from Elif along with a slight shiver.
"Yes, along with being forced to act as her body-sized pillow." Muttered Elif with an uncomfortable expression while Elaine cutely tilted her head, a dark light shining in her eyes.
"Illumia; if anything is to go awry-" Stated Maria seriously as she looked at Illumia, who bowed, cutting her words.
"You need not worry, Your Majesty. I already understand; I shall be intently watching the entire ceremony and will be prepared to make a move if the need arises." Replied Illumia solemnly with a serious gaze as she deeply bowed while looking at Maria, who lightly nodded.
"Come on, Illumia; I know you were Mother's previous follower, but you've got bigger and better things to worry about." Said Elif with a faint smirk as he turned and glanced at Illumia, who wryly smiled before suddenly appearing right behind him, beside Maxim, who was following Elaine.
"Haa, this boy." Muttered Maria with a twitching expression as she eyed Elif exiting the throne room before shaking her head and sighing, only to reappear sitting on her throne beside Marcus.

Exiting the Palace, Elaine and I walked side by side down the road as we approached the royal carriage, where my royal guards, along with Marley and Idonea, were surrounding. They all bowed at our presence before Mandy opened the door, prompting me to enter the carriage after Elaine, followed by Illumia, Maxim, Idonea, and finally Marley, with them all sitting on one side of the carriage seats while we sat on the opposite.
"You already know the destination, Mandy." Said Elif lightly as he glanced out the window, looking at Mandy, who nodded before approaching Zulo and Zala, informing them of their destination.
With Zulo and Zala neighing, the carriage began to move as it exited the royal grounds before speedily taking into the sky, quickly leaving Yggdrasil while the royal guards flew around the carriage, with Mandy at the front.
"Welp, we've got a few days to kill until we reach the Phoenix Clan; what do you suppose we do?" Asked Elif curiously as he rested his head atop Elaine's meaty thighs while looking up at her past her protruding breasts.
I don't know why I asked that question since immediately after, Elaine gave me a lustful smile while her hand lowered down to my crotch, causing me to roll my eyes at how bold my little sister was, even before an audience of four, she seemingly didn't care.
'Haa, she really needs to be taught manners.' Mused Elif with a sigh as he grasped Elaine's hand before standing up.
"Come, Elaine; I need your assistance with something in the bedroom." Said Elif with a faint, lustful smirk as he led Elaine into the bedroom, while she eagerly entered before closing the door.
"Haa, lucky." Muttered Marley with a sigh while Idonea, Illumia, and Maxim all nodded agreement, though who they were referring to was up for debate.

Looking up at the massive mountain at the center of this volcanic region, I summoned my system and quickly bought a flame-warding talisman, using it as the previous one was beginning to lose its effects.
"Ugh, are you sure this is the right place, Gel? I mean, I get that Phoenixes would be living in a hot place, but this is ridiculous; I can't even survive here without using a talisman; speaking of that, I don't have that many points left; I'm nearly broke, only a few thousand to my name." Remarked Comet with an unsightly expression as he stood at the base of the Phoenix Clan's estate, looking up at the massive volcano while an ethereal fairy appeared floating in front of him.
"Yes, the Divine Phoenix Clan estate it is there, and that's where you'll find your lover, Spica, though I imagine she'll not be very pleased when she comes to learn that you've started a harem of ten women, some of whom, you've already impregnated, without her knowledge." Replied Gel lightly as she looked at Comet, her words causing him to wryly smile.
"I-It's not like I didn't want to tell her; I physically couldn't; b-besides, didn't you say it's normal for female Phoneixes to be a part of a harem? I'm sure it'll be fine." Said Comet with an awkward expression as he rubbed his head while looking at Gel, who raised an eyebrow before shrugging her shoulders.
