Capítulo 262: Chapter 262: Shocking Revelations
With Sarah in my embrace, the two of us reached just outside the dining room, which was annoying since I honestly wanted to spend more time with her, but we couldn't be away for too long; it would be weird for the person of honor to not be at his own birthday celebration, and add to the fact Sarah, who is widely known to be on excellent terms with me, is also absent, it wouldn't take long for baseless rumors to start spread, even though they wouldn't be entirely wrong now.
"Remember, you're mine now, Sarah." Declared Elif lightly with a seductive smirk as he looked down at Sarah, who meekly nodded with a large smile while resting against his torso.
"I understand, Elif; I'm only yours, no one else's. I'll allow no man besides my Father to ever touch me." Replied Sarah softly, only to lightly blush when Elif kissed her once more while also reaching down to gently squeeze her butt.
"Good, that's what I want to hear. Now, you should probably wait a few minutes before entering; we'd like to keep our new relationship as secretive as possible, at least until Elaine accepts you as my Concubine if she ever." Remarked Elif with a smirk as he retracted his lips and looked into Sarah's eyes before giving her butt one final squeeze, only to slowly lick his hand while keeping eye contact, causing her to blush intensely and look away in embarrassment.
Chuckling to myself, I quickly left Sarah alone and entered the dining room lest I stayed for another several minutes while kissing her, which was quite tempting when I thought about it. When I entered the dining room again, I received several looks, mainly from women, though nothing that worried me; Sarah and I were only absent for just over ten minutes, which is about the length of two songs, so nothing noteworthy.
I could see Elaine dancing with Grandfather while Grandmother was dancing with Father, and instead of Mother sitting down by her lonesome, I got to witness the sight of her and Illumia dancing together; it was very amusing, to say the least, especially since I could tell Illumia had a soft blush on her cheeks.
'Ho, does Illumia not only have feelings for me but also for Mother? Well, she is beautiful, so it's understandable.' Mused Elif with a raised eyebrow as he looked at Illumia and Maria with a faint smirk before walking toward them.
I was about to go and tease Illumia, but before I could, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted her, Progenitor Lourdes, sitting at one of the four tables by herself, causing me to stop and look at her in confusion, before deciding to approach her instead.
"What are you doing here, Progenitor Lourdes?" Asked Elif respectfully as he gave Lourdes a slight bow, only for her to set her cup down and silently hold her hand out.
Glancing at her, I grabbed her hand and led her to the dance floor as the two of us held each other and started dancing, and if I was cautious when I held Mother's waist, I was far more cautious now; I wasn't even really holding her waist, more like my hands were hovering right above. However, Progenitor Lourdes didn't seem to be really fond of that as I was suddenly forced to grip her lithe waist, causing me to glance at her while she held my shoulder, though I couldn't help but lightly blush. Even though Progenitor Lourdes was the progenitor of the Immortal Elven Empire and my ancestor, she was gorgeous beyond belief; I don't think even Elaine will ever be as beautiful as her.
"I know there are aphrodisiacs in your system, but you shouldn't be lusting after me, my descendant; after all, you have a soon-to-be wife and apparently a Concubine now." Remarked Lourdes softly in her majestic voice as she looked up at Elif, who despite trying to stay calm, only ended up blushing further.
"It's not really my choice in the matter, Progenitor Lourdes; you're by far the most attractive woman I've ever laid eyes on, and now I'm dancing with you; this was bound to happen." Replied Elif with a wry smile and a blushed face that reached all the way to his pointy ears as he looked at Lourdes, who nodded in understanding.
"I suppose. My beauty had always stirred trouble back in my day; oh, how I wished I was born ugly sometimes." Said Lourdes with a faint smile before shaking her head and sighing, reminiscing about her youthful days.
"Anyways, what are you doing here? Also, did you say aphrodisiacs?" Questioned Elif lightly as he powered through the bashfulness he was feeling before furrowing his brows and looking at Lourdes.
"I'm attending one of my descendants' Coming-of-age birthdays; it's something I always do; you're just the only one who has ever seen me. As I've said before, I love each of my descendants, including you and your little sister Elaine." Remarked Lourdes lightly with a loving smile as she looked at Elif before glancing between Maria, Marcus, Tiana, Tyler, and finally Elaine.
"Regarding the aphrodisiacs in your system, you don't need to worry; they are harmless, and the effects will disappear by tomorrow morning. However, if you desire to know the one who poisoned you, it was Elaine." Added Lourdes as she looked down at Elif's crotch, which suddenly twitched, causing his blush to deepen while she seemed completely unbothered by it.
"Elaine? But how did she even pos-it must've been the tea she made for me; I hope whatever made that tea taste good wasn't the aphrodisiacs." Said Elif with a frown while confused, only to suddenly widen his eyes in revelation as he nodded.
I knew why Elaine poisoned me; she must've been fed up with me constantly refusing to make love to her, so she intended to force me, though it didn't really make me mad at her; if anything, I was angry at myself for forcing her to go to such extreme lengths.
"Haa, well, I'm just glad I overcame my foolish inhibitions by myself; it wouldn't have been the same if I made love with Elaine because aphrodisiacs clouded my mind rather than us doing it out of our own accord." Muttered Elif as he sighed in relief while inwardly berating himself.
"Well, you take that how you wish, my descendant, though, since we are on the topic of her. I should warn you about something that's been passed down between our bloodlines, and it's not so pleasant." Remarked Lourdes lightly with a nod before she adorned a more solemn expression, causing Elif to frown while intently listening.
"You've seen the memory of my battle against the Dragon King, correct?" Asked Lourdes as she looked at Elif, who nodded, causing her to shake her head.
"Well, that isn't what actually happened; that memory is a fabricated one I had crafted to fool my descendants until they ascend to the throne or until the curse reveals itself." Added Lourdes, her words surprising Elif before he suddenly frowned towards the end, only for an ugly expression to adorn his face.
"The blackish tint in Elaine's eyes, is that related to the curse?" Asked Elif calmly while unknowingly squeezing Lourdes's waist as she nodded.
"Yes. During my fight against the Dragon King, he had apparently known beforehand from a seer that he would die at the hands of an Elf; so halfway through the battle, when he realized he was going to lose, he used his secret technique he had been creating. Using all of his remaining strength, he cursed me, a curse that was meant to stop me from ever furthering my bloodline. Of course, at that time, I didn't know, and after the Dragon King died, I continued on with my life, giving birth to two children, a boy and a girl." Declared Lourdes lightly with a frown as she paused for a second, allowing Elif to mull over her words before she continued.
"At first, everything was fine; I was managing the newly established Immortal Elven Empire, while my Father/ Husband at the time assisted me. However, one day, my son happened to sleep with a woman, and a day later, my daughter killed him before killing herself." Added Lourdes with a smile while reminiscing before taking on a pained expression while Elif was completely shocked.
"You're children? But, I-I thought a heavenly tribulation killed them." Remarked Elif with widened eyes as he looked at Lourdes, who nodded.
"Yes, that did happen, but who said I only had two children? In fact, I had many, many children. Yet except for two, who happened to be killed by a heavenly tribulation, all of my other children killed themselves. Heartbreaking isn't enough to describe watching your children constantly kill themselves over the smallest of reasons, and the one at fault was the Dragon King; his curse was to blame. He was the reason my heart was torn into millions of different pieces every time my children died; despite killing him, he was the one who truly won our battle." Stated Lourdes with a pained expression before it slowly descended into a wrathful one, as she tightly held Elif's shoulders while the entire Palace, no, the entire Elven Empire, trembled from merely her words.
Hearing Progenitor Lourdes, I was utterly shocked that such a thing truly happened, and I couldn't help but glance at Elaine with concern. I had experienced what it was like for her to die once; I was never going to allow it again, and if she happened to die, that meant I had already been killed.
