"Haa, and to think these two shameless children are the Emperor and Empress; oh, how times have changed." Remarked Tyler with a sigh as he glanced at Marcus and Maria, while Elif, and Elaine chuckled in amusement.
"Don't forget, they also had two children of their own, Grandfather." Commented Elaine with a faint smirk, her words causing Tyler and Tiana to laugh while Maria grabbed her ear.
"How dare you call your own Mother shameless; don't think I didn't see what you and Elif had just done." Remarked Maria as she pulled Elaine's ear, causing her to wince in pain.
"Hmph, what do you think you're doing to my granddaughter for speaking the truth?" Asked Tiana with a frown as she grabbed Maria's ear, causing her to wince in pain and creating a three-generation punishment.
"This is quite the spectacle, no?" Asked Elif lightly as he glanced at Tyler and Marcus, the three watching the woman quietly lest they get dragged into it.
"Heh, it's not my first time seeing this; though yes, it's always amusing when I see it, now we only need Grandmother." Replied Marcus with a nod while sipping wine and watching as Maria refused to admit defeat so easily.
"You should've seen Maria when she was younger; with all the trouble she got herself into, she might as well have had Tiana's hand glued to her ear." Remarked Tyler with a smirk as he glanced at Tiana while Marcus nodded in agreement.
Softly chuckling, I was about to try and deescalate the situation, even though I knew my efforts were most likely going to be in vain, yet before I could, I felt someone tap on my shoulder, causing me to turn around in confusion, I was curious who was bold enough to try and speak with me while I was sitting one Grandmothers lap, though, when I laid eyes on who the pair were, it made perfect sense.
Before I could open my mouth, she placed a finger against my lips and shushed me to be quiet while the man handed Grandfather a crystal ball; the woman then placed her finger on Grandmother's ear and pulled, causing her to wince in pain while Grandfather took a picture. Seeing that, I concealed myself, and while I didn't have any technique to do so properly, It was enough.
"Ouch!" Stated Elaine, Maria, and Tiana while wincing in pain, just as Tyler had taken a picture of the four of them.
"Hehe, let me see the picture, Tyler. Oh, it came out wonderful." Said the lady with a slight smile as she approached Tyler, grabbing the crystal ball out of his hands, only to kiss him on the cheek in happiness.
"Ugh, Mother, Father, what are you two doing here?" Asked Tiana with a deep frown as she rubbed her ear and glanced at the lady and the man standing behind Tyler while looking at the crystal ball.
"It is our great-grandson's coming-of-age birthday; we needed to at least show ourselves for a little bit." Replied Charles with a faint smirk as he looked at Tiana before rubbing Elif's head, causing him to sigh.
"Yes! I haven't seen my little snuggle bear in a few months!" Remarked Celeste with a lovely smile as she handed the crystal ball back to Tyler before embracing Elif in an extremely tight hug while her chest suffocated him.
"Haa, this is why I refrain from visiting you, Great-grandmother; I can't breathe, and you won't allow me to leave for hours." Said Elif lightly, not even able to sigh at how tight Celeste was hugging him.
"Hmm? Did you say something, little Elif?" Asked Celeste curiously as she looked down at Elif, though, as she didn't ease the hug, she merely tilted her head before shrugging her shoulders and forgetting about it.
"How long will you two be here?" Asked Elaine with a frown as she eyed Celeste, who glanced at Elaine only to slightly scowl when she saw her black-tinted silver eyes.
"Tch, Dragons." Muttered Celeste with an unsightly expression as she subconsciously squeezed Elif even harder, causing him to slap her back with all his might repeatedly.
"Ho, oops, sorry, dear." Added Celeste as she shook her head, finally snapping out of her trance while easing the hug, prompting Eif to take a deep breath of air the instant he removed himself from her bosom.
"Haa, thank goodness, you were about to snap me in half, Great-grandmother, and I don't think anyone here would like to see that." Remarked Elif with a sigh of relief as he fixed his hair while looking at Celeste, who released him, allowing him to sit more comfortably on Tiana's seat.
"Heh, been there, and it's far from pleasant." Remarked Marcus, with an unsightly expression, only for Celeste to pout as she suddenly appeared behind him and embraced him in a tight hug.
"Hmph, my hugs are nothing but pleasant; you just must not remember them after having not experienced one in so long. Allow me to refresh your memory." Remarked Celeste with a frown as she ignored Marcus's pleas and continued to hug tighter.
"Are you safe from her hugs, Great-grandfather?" Asked Elif curiously as he turned and looked at Charles, who rubbed his bearded chin before shaking his head.
"Nope, I dare to say no one except Progenitor Lourdes herself is." Replied Charles lightly as he watched Marcus get nearly squeezed to death.
"Anyways, I am curious, but how are you and Great-grandmother here? I thought since you two served as the guardians of the Royal Library and Royal Treasury, neither of you will be allowed to leave until Elaine and I become the Emperor and Empress." Questioned Elif curiously as he ignored the arguing between Elaine, Maria and Tiana and participated in the calmness of the men, minus Marcus.
"Simple, really; we just asked our parents to briefly guard it in our absence, though we will be returning shortly." Replied Charles, prompting Elif to raise an eyebrow while nodding.
Nodding at Great-grandfather, the three of us, including Father and Great-grandmother once she was finished with him, conversed while Elaine, Mother, and Grandmother eventually joined in when they stopped arguing it, thus turning it into a four-generation conversation, something which was without a doubt rare. However, eventually, the food part of the banquet was coming to an end; the massive tray several servants carried into the dining room marked it as such.
"Well, as it seems the more exciting part is about to commence, Celeste and I shall take our leave, though do make sure to visit us soon, Elif, and you as well, Elaine." Stated Charles with a faint smile as he patted Elif's shoulder before glancing at Elaine.
"We shall, Great-grandfather." Said Elif with a smile as he looked up at Charles, while Elaine nodded in agreement, causing him to chuckle.
"And if you don't, I shall forbid you two access into the Royal Treasury!" Declared Celeste as he eyed Elaine and Elif, who both nervously gulped before nodding with even more vigor.
"You don't need to worry G.grandmother, we'll definitely be there." Commented Elaine with a forced smile while rapidly nodding, causing Celeste to smile sweetly and wave at them.
"Bye!"
Watching G.grandmother and G.grandfather vanish, Elaine and I looked at each other before sighing in relief; both of us had gotten G.grandmother's treatment during the conversation, and neither of us enjoyed it, so knowing we'd be required to return, and soon at that wasn't the best of news.
Hoping off Grandmother's lap, I fixed my appearance a little as I removed the silver pins from my hair, causing my bun to unfurl itself as I shook my head.
"Oh god, such beauty, it's surreal."
"He's so sexy.
"~Ahh~, I-I'm so wet right now."
"P-Please just look at me; I'll do anything; just look at me!"
Hearing all those women swooning over me, I glanced at the woman who was practically on her hands and knees, causing her body to tremble when her eyes met with mine, though I wasn't finished as I blew a kiss toward her, which might've been a little overboard since I saw her eyes roll into her back of her as she collapsed onto the ground while liquid leaked from her nether region.
'Heh, my charm only continues to increase; at this rate, I may very well cause a woman to die from my beauty alone.' Mused Elif with a smirk as he tied his hair back into a bun, stabbing his two silver pins back in to keep the bun in place.
With my hair now fixed, I grabbed my glass cup and walked toward the massive tray placed on a stage where dances or entertainment would perform, though despite it being my birthday, there was none today, as that was where I was going to unbox my presents. Floating up to the stage, I grabbed a silver knife and injected it with Qi before lightly hitting the glass cup, causing a high-pitched tune to resound throughout the dining room, catching everyone's attention as they quietened down and stared at me.
As I cleared my throat, I glanced at Sarah, who unfortunately didn't immediately clap for me; though that was fine, it would've merely been amusing.
"I hope everyone enjoyed the food while conversing with your fellow cultivators; however, I deemed it about time we get to the part of the banquet I'm sure most of you are all interested in: the unboxing of presents." Said Elif with a slight smile as he fanned himself with his Quạt tay before gesturing to Illumi, who was standing right beside the tray.
With my words, Illumia removed the dome over the silver tray, revealing dozens of dimensions of rings stacked neatly.
