Taro's Residence
It was a quiet and cold night, and Taro was at home, alone and very hungry. He had spent the day playing video games and forgetting to eat, and now his hunger was unbearable. He decided to order a pizza.
He picked up the phone and called the nearest pizzeria. "I'd like to order a large pepperoni pizza, please," Taro said, his voice filled with urgency.
"Your order will be delivered in 30 minutes," the person on the other end of the line replied.
Taro thanked them and hung up, looking at the clock. He knew he had half an hour to wait, so he decided to watch some TV while waiting. He sat on the couch and turned on the TV, but his mind was focused on the pizza that was on its way.
Roof of a House
While Taro eagerly waited for his pizza, Freed was hunting Devils or anyone who had made contracts with Devils. He was equipped with his demonic magic detector, a device he used to track the presence of magic.
Freed was on top of a roof, looking at the houses below. The magic detector started beeping when he pointed it towards Taro's house. A red light flashed on the device, indicating the presence of demonic magic. Freed frowned and observed Taro's house for a few moments, trying to understand the situation.
'A human who made a contract with a Devil,' Freed thought, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed the house. He knew he needed to be careful, but his curiosity and thirst for violence drove him to act.
The Pizza Delivery Arrives
About half an hour later, a pizza delivery guy arrived at Taro's street. He parked his bike and took the pizza box from the thermal compartment. He walked towards Taro's house, looking at the house numbers to make sure he was in the right place.
Freed, still on the roof, smiled wickedly when he saw the delivery guy approaching. He silently descended, his steps almost inaudible on the sidewalk. When the delivery guy was about to ring the doorbell, Freed moved quickly, grabbing him from behind and covering his mouth with a gloved hand.
"What are you...?" the delivery guy tried to scream, but his voice was muffled.
Freed struck the delivery guy hard on the back of the neck, making him instantly lose consciousness. The young man's body fell to the ground with a thud, and Freed took the pizza box from his hands, opening it with a cruel smile.
"Hm, pepperoni," Freed murmured, grabbing a slice and devouring it voraciously.
With the pizza box in one hand and the partially eaten slice in the other, Freed walked to Taro's door. He savored each bite, chewing noisily as he approached.
*DING DONG!*
The doorbell echoed through the house, and Taro quickly got up from the couch. He ran to the door, opening it with an eager smile, expecting to see the delivery guy with his pizza.
However, instead of the delivery guy, Taro found Freed, who was still chewing the pizza with a maniacal grin on his face. Taro took a step back, confused and scared.
"What are you doing here? Who are you?" Taro asked, trying to understand the situation.
Freed laughed disdainfully, swallowing the piece of pizza in his mouth. "Just passing by to deliver your pizza. Hope you enjoy it," he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Taro took another step back, feeling the imminent danger. "What do you want?"
"To punish a human who sided with the Devils," Freed said, his voice dripping with contempt.
*CRACK!*
The sound of Taro's teeth breaking echoed through the room as Freed punched him violently in the mouth. Taro staggered back, feeling his mouth fill with blood as he fell to the ground. He tried to speak, but the pain and shock left him speechless.
Freed smiled wickedly, watching Taro writhe on the floor. "Pathetic. You thought you could ally with the Devils and get away with it?"
Taro tried to crawl away, but Freed drew his sword, gleaming under the dim light of the room. He approached slowly, savoring the fear in Taro's eyes.
"P-please..." Taro tried to beg, but his voice came out weak and choked.
"You don't deserve mercy," Freed said before plunging the sword into Taro's chest, piercing his heart.
Taro twitched and then went still, blood spreading across the floor. Freed pulled the sword back, watching Taro's lifeless body with a look of satisfaction.
"One less," Freed murmured, wiping the sword's blade on Taro's clothes. He grabbed the last slice of pizza from the box, biting into it with a triumphant smile.
Leaving Taro's house, Freed chewed the pizza as he walked down the street, satisfied with the punishment he had inflicted.
Kaito's Room
Kaito was lying in his bed, with Asia nestled in his arms. The soft moonlight illuminated the room, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere. The clock on the wall read 11:50 PM, indicating that only ten minutes remained until the next day, Kaito's 16th birthday. He was deeply asleep, breathing in a regular and gentle manner.
Snore... snore...
The light sound of Kaito's snoring filled the room, mixed with Asia's tranquil breathing. She was snuggled against him, her presence offering mutual comfort that calmed their minds and bodies.
Kaito's Dream
In his dreams, Kaito was in a vast and desolate field, where the sky was overcast, and dark clouds hovered menacingly. In the center of the field stood an imposing tree, its black leaves swaying gently in the wind. On the trunk of the tree was a mysterious door with a strangely shaped lock that Kaito couldn't identify.
In front of the door stood King, Kaito's alter ego. His translucent wings glowed with an ethereal light, and he seemed to be in deep contemplation, observing the lock on the door. Kaito approached cautiously, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
"King, what is this door?"
King lifted his eyes to meet Kaito's gaze, his expression serene and enigmatic. "An example."
Kaito frowned, confused. "An example of what?"
King took a step forward, his wings trembling softly. "The door to the world of fairies, where Asia and your parents can stay safe."
Kaito was surprised, his eyes widening slightly. "A place like that really exists? How can we get there?"
"In a few minutes, you'll be able to get there anytime you want," King said, a slight smile on his lips and a soft light shining in his eyes.
"When I gain my powers," Kaito murmured, finally understanding.
"Yes, Kaito. But there's something you need to know. With the awakening of your powers, I will disappear forever. We will become one, and you will never be the same."
Kaito was perplexed, absorbing the information. "Disappear? What exactly does that mean?"
King looked deeply into Kaito's eyes, his expression loaded with seriousness. "The merging of our beings means you'll have full control over your powers, but it requires total control of the mind. You will need to master all aspects of your consciousness. I was a separate part of you to help you grow, but now it's time to become whole."
Kaito felt a wave of concern. "And if I can't handle everything without you? What if I get lost in this power?"
King smiled slightly, placing a reassuring hand on Kaito's shoulder. "You won't be alone. By absorbing me, you will integrate my personality, my strengths, and my wisdom. It's not the end of our journey together, but a new beginning. You'll become Kaito 2.0, an improved version of yourself."
Kaito frowned, still processing King's words. "But you've always been an important part of me. How will I manage without this separation?"
King took a step back, his wings trembling softly. "Remember, Kaito, 'King' is not a name but a position. By merging with me, you will become the King of Fairies, with all the responsibilities and powers that entails. This is your true essence."
Kaito felt a mix of fear and determination growing inside him. "So, I'll become the King of Fairies... Kaito, the Fairy King. It sounds surreal."
King nodded, his wings glowing with renewed intensity. "Yes, and you'll have the power needed to protect Asia and everyone you love. But with that power comes immense responsibility. Trust yourself and always remember who you are and what is important to you."
Kaito took a deep breath, feeling the weight of King's words. "I'll do my best to honor this responsibility. I promise."
King began to fade, his figure becoming more and more translucent. "Good luck, Kaito. I trust you. Now, it's time for us to become one."
With those words, King completely disappeared, and Kaito felt a wave of energy surge through his body, filling every fiber of his being. The fusion was accompanied by a sense of unparalleled clarity and strength.
