Capítulo 41: Chapter [41]

Future Hideout of the Fallen Angels

In a relatively quiet and isolated part of Kuoh, there was a well-kept house belonging to a middle-class family. The house had a well-maintained garden in the front, and the lights on in the windows indicated that the family was at home. The residence, with its brick walls and slate roof, exuded a cozy and safe atmosphere.

Inside the house, the family was gathered in the living room, enjoying a peaceful evening. The father was reading a book, while the mother watched television, with the children playing with their toys on the floor. The environment was calm and comfortable, reflecting the peaceful life they led.

Suddenly, the silence of the night was interrupted by a loud noise.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!

Alarmed, the father set the book aside and quickly got up, heading towards the door. The mother, with a worried expression, turned off the television and embraced the children, who looked curious and a bit scared towards the entrance.

The father cautiously opened the door, and there, at the threshold, stood three women. They exuded a threatening aura, their presence dominating the space. Raynare, Kalawarner, and Mittelt, the fallen angels, were standing there, their gazes fixed on the man before them.

Raynare stepped forward, her eyes glowing with a sinister light. "This house now belongs to me," she said. Her voice was hypnotic, each word penetrating deeply into the minds of the parents and children. Their eyes became glazed, as if they were under a spell. Without a word, the family slowly turned and began to climb the stairs, their expressions vacant and obedient.

Raynare watched them disappear upstairs, a look of disdain and anger visible on her face. "Damn humans," she muttered through clenched teeth. "I should kill them all right now."

Kalawarner placed a hand on Raynare's shoulder. "Raynare, you know we can't do that. Killing this family would draw too much attention. We should only eliminate Sacred Gear bearers."

Raynare turned abruptly to Kalawarner. "I know that, Kalawarner. But the frustration of seeing these insignificant humans living their peaceful lives while we deal with much bigger problems... it's unbearable."

Mittelt, leaning against the wall, watched the interaction with a neutral expression. "Raynare is right. These humans are pathetic. We should show them what real power is. They are so weak they hardly deserve our attention."

The three fallen angels moved through the house, settling into different rooms. Raynare went to the living room, sitting on the sofa with a thoughtful look. Kalawarner went to the kitchen, checking the surroundings, while Mittelt leaned against the wall, still with a look of disdain on her face.

"Raynare," Mittelt began, "you should have killed that boy when you had the chance. Now he's out there, messing up our plans. What do you intend to do about it?"

Raynare looked at Mittelt with anger in her eyes. "I did kill him, Mittelt. I threw a light spear at him, he should be dead. I have no idea how he's back."

Kalawarner, who had been listening attentively, approached and crossed her arms. "Idiots. Obviously, some Devil brought him back. If he's alive and stronger, it's because he was reincarnated as a Devil."

Raynare frowned, pondering the idea. "A Devil... That makes sense. But that just complicates things further. If he really was reincarnated as a Devil, we'll need to be much more careful. He'll have the support of a Peerage."

Mittelt snorted. "Those Devils and their power games. Still, we can't underestimate that boy. He's already caused us enough trouble."

Raynare nodded slowly, feeling the anger and determination grow within her. "We need to find him and ensure he doesn't interfere with our plans again. And this time, there will be no second chances."

"We need to be extremely cautious," said Kalawarner, concerned, looking at her colleagues. "If he belongs to Rias Gremory's or Sona Sitri's Peerage, we're dealing with much more powerful enemies than we imagined. They are influential and powerful families in the underworld. Kaito, with their support, won't be an easy opponent."

Raynare narrowed her eyes, aware of the implications. "So, you're saying we can't defeat him alone?"

Kalawarner nodded, her expression serious. "Yes, Raynare. We need more information and maybe more allies. Facing Kaito directly, without knowing the extent of his power and without proper preparation, would be madness."

Raynare snorted in anger, turning sharply to Kalawarner. "Coward," she said with disdain. "I admit Kaito has become stronger, but I don't accept the idea that he's stronger than the three of us together."

Kalawarner maintained her firm stance, ignoring the insult. "Raynare, you saw what he did to the magicians. He might be stronger than we imagined."

Raynare crossed her arms, refusing to relent. "Even if he has a Peerage to support him, Kaito faced us alone. That shows he trusts his own strength. However, that doesn't mean he's invincible. He acted without the support of his Peerage, which could be a weakness."

Mittelt, observing the discussion, intervened. "Remember, the kidnapped girl was a nun. That might have made the other Devils not intervene. Kaito is acting alone."

Kalawarner pondered, thinking about Mittelt's words. "It might be that Kaito is a Stray Devil. That would explain why he's acting alone."

Raynare felt a wave of anticipation and relief at hearing this possibility. If Kaito was indeed a Stray Devil, he would be much easier to deal with. Stray Devils were renegades, without the support and resources of Peerages. The idea of facing an isolated and unsupported enemy was much more appealing and less intimidating.

"A Stray Devil..." Raynare murmured, her gaze lighting up with new determination. "If that's true, we can face him and eliminate him without much difficulty."

Kalawarner and Mittelt exchanged looks and nodded, their expressions showing agreement with Raynare's new perspective. The idea of facing a Stray Devil, even if powerful, was much less intimidating than facing an active member of a Peerage. They knew this was an opportunity they couldn't let slip away.

Kalawarner, always the most pragmatic of the group, was the first to express her agreement verbally. "Raynare, you might be right. If Kaito is a Stray Devil, he won't have the support of a Peerage. That means he'll be vulnerable. We can use that to our advantage."

Mittelt, leaning against the wall, also showed her agreement with a slight smile. "Yes, Raynare. If he doesn't have anyone to support him, it will be much easier to defeat him. We can lure him into a trap and finish him off once and for all."

Raynare, realizing that her allies were on board with the plan, felt her confidence grow even more. "Exactly. And besides, we can capture the nun and steal her Sacred Gear. Kaito may have ruined our initial plans, but we can still turn the game in our favor."
