Capítulo 9: Dusk's Warning

Lysander appeared out of nowhere and addressed the boss, his voice carrying a sense of urgency, "The tracker is ready."

The boss, a figure of authority and menace, nodded, his eyes momentarily glowing a fierce red before returning to their normal hue. This signal summoned Draven, Seraphine, and Valerius, each a formidable force in their own right. They gathered, their energies mingling in a symphony of dark intentions and power.

Lysander continued, his voice echoing in the tense silence, "Before we go, I'll tell you how this tracker works in the first place. The body of Richsteist has traces of dream energy from the culprits. We can track them down, but we should make it quick because it has 6 hours left before the traces disappear."

The trio nodded, their faces a mask of determination and readiness for the task at hand. Lysander gave them a final nod, a silent command that set them into motion, "Alright, let's go."

In a blink, they disappeared, teleporting to their destination with a sense of urgency that left the air crackling with residual energy.

Meanwhile...

Orion and Vale found themselves outside Ritumartis, the bustling market a stark contrast to the solemnity they had just left behind. The vibrant hues and sounds of the market greeted them, a vivid tapestry of life and commerce that seemed to pulse with vibrant energy.

Orion broke the silence, his voice tinged with a mix of excitement and uncertainty, "What should we do for now?"

Vale, ever the optimist, grinned, his amber eyes sparkling with a playful energy, "Let's go shopping for now, we got enough Lucids to gather some healing and attack items, thanks to Willard for letting us save our Lucids."

Orion nodded, his spirit lifted by Vale's infectious enthusiasm, "Alright, let's start finding items in the stalls!"

With a plan in mind, they split up, each venturing into the bustling market with a sense of purpose and excitement. The market was a hive of activity, with vendors peddling their wares and shoppers haggling for the best deals. Orion found himself drawn to a stall selling healing potions, the vendor a charismatic figure who spun tales of the potion's miraculous properties. Orion couldn't help but get caught up in the energy, haggling with a fervor he didn't know he possessed.

Vale, on the other hand, found himself at a stall selling ME recovery potions, the vendor a shrewd businesswoman who knew the value of her products. Vale couldn't help but admire her business acumen, finding himself engaged in a spirited negotiation that left him feeling exhilarated.

After a while, they met up again, their arms laden with purchases, a testament to their successful venture into the world of haggling and commerce. They exchanged stories of their experiences, their laughter ringing out in the busy market, a sound that seamlessly blended with the vibrant energy around them.

Orion, ever the curious one, brought up a rumor he had heard, "I've heard of a famous fortune teller located in the deeper parts of the market. Do you wanna check it out?"

Vale hesitated, his instincts warning him of the potential dangers that lurked in the shadows of the underground market, "The deeper parts of the market? You're sure it's not dangerous?"

Orion shrugged, his adventurous spirit bubbling to the surface, "Probably not, as long as we keep our businesses to ourselves and not interfere, it should be alright."

Vale still seemed unsure, his protective nature coming to the fore, "But are you sure the fortune teller's trusted? There should be a reason she is in the deeper parts of the market."

Orion nodded, his determination shining through, "At this point, we're desperate, no? We need some guidance anyway, and people think the fortune teller is legit anyway."

After a moment of contemplation, Vale finally agreed, his trust in Orion outweighing his reservations, "Alright."

With a sense of trepidation and excitement, they ventured into the deeper parts of the market, their journey taking them down a winding staircase that seemed to lead them into the bowels of the earth. After what felt like an eternity, they reached the underground market, where the shadows held secrets and the air pulsed with an energy that was both magnetic and foreboding.

Orion took the lead, his voice echoing in the dimly lit space, "Alright, let's look around the floor to see if the fortune teller's here."

The underground market was a stark contrast to the vibrant activity above, a place where broken signs and dark corners held the promise of danger and mystery. They wandered through the narrow aisles, their senses on high alert as they navigated through the maze of shops and stalls.

Finally, they spotted a shop that seemed to emanate otherworldly energy, a place where time seemed to stand still. The shop was a small, dimly lit space, the air thick with the scent of incense and ancient secrets. The walls were adorned with tapestries that depicted scenes of celestial beings and cosmic events, a testament to the fortune teller's connection to the mystical realms.

As they entered, they were greeted by the fortune teller, a figure draped in layers of flowing garments, her face partially obscured by a hood that gave her an air of enigmatic allure.

She greeted them with a voice that seemed to resonate from another realm, a haunting whisper that sent shivers down their spines, "Welcome! Would you like your fortune to be seen?"

Orion and Vale exchanged a nervous glance before nodding in unison, their voices tinged with a mix of excitement and fear, "Yes please."

The fortune teller gestured for them to sit, her movements graceful yet eerie, as if she was a creature not bound by the laws of time. The room seemed to pulse with an energy that was both magnetic and foreboding, a place where the veil between worlds was thin.

They took their seats, the wooden chairs creaking under their weight as they faced the fortune teller, their hearts pounding in their chests as they braced themselves for what was to come.

The fortune teller leaned in, her voice a haunting whisper that seemed to resonate from another realm, "Alright, this costs around 20 Lucids."

Without hesitation, they handed over the required payment, their palms sweaty with anticipation as they awaited the revelations that lay ahead.

As they settled into the creaking wooden chairs, the fortune teller leaned closer, her presence enveloping them in an aura of ancient wisdom and ethereal mystery. Her voice, a haunting whisper that seemed to emanate from the very fabric of another realm, enveloped them in a chilling embrace. "I glimpse paths intertwined in a complex dance of fate, a journey marred by betrayals so deep they could tear the very heavens apart. A relentless quest for vengeance that will guide you down roads shrouded in shadows, into the pulsating heart of an all-consuming darkness," she murmured, her eyes becoming swirling vortexes of cosmic energy, fixated on the mesmerizing patterns within the orb before her.

Orion felt a chill cascade down his spine, the words resonating with a profound truth that echoed in the deepest recesses of his soul. He could feel the tendrils of fate wrapping around them, drawing them into a narrative woven from the threads of time itself. Beside him, Vale's grip on his shoulder tightened, a silent pact of unity and resilience, a vow to stand shoulder to shoulder as they ventured into the unknown abyss that lay before them.

With a breath that seemed to draw in the energies of the cosmos, she continued, her voice weaving an intricate tapestry of their potential futures, a vivid panorama filled with epic battles against foes that defied the imagination, alliances forged in the crucible of adversity and shattered in the halls of deceit, and a looming darkness that threatened to swallow the very essence of light and goodness that still clung desperately to this world. "You will face adversaries that defy the boundaries of power, beings of unimaginable might and cruelty. You will forge uneasy alliances with those you once considered foes, finding common ground in the face of a greater evil. And in this crucible of chaos and revelation, you will uncover truths so profound they will shake the very foundations of your world, threatening to unravel the fabric of reality itself."

In the midst of this prophetic revelation, a distant but growing cacophony intruded upon the ethereal atmosphere - the relentless pounding of heavy boots against the ancient stone floor echoed like the drums of war, growing louder and more frantic with each heartbeat that passed. The fortune teller's demeanor shifted, her eyes flicking towards the door with a knowing, almost sorrowful glance, before returning her gaze to the orb that now seemed to swirl with a maelstrom of conflicting energies, her voice dropping to a whisper that carried the weight of worlds on the brink of cataclysm.

"But heed this warning, brave souls, for the path you tread is strewn with peril and darkness. Before you reach the climactic end, before the final confrontation that will determine the fate of realms, you will encounter...

The word reverberated through the chamber, a dark omen that hung heavily in the air, echoing with a foreboding resonance that seemed to permeate the very stones that surrounded them. It was a prophecy that carried the weight of inevitable loss, a shadow that threatened to engulf them in its cold embrace.

Before they could fully process the gravity of her words, the sanctuary of the chamber was violently breached. The door exploded inward, wood splintering and flying like deadly projectiles as dark guild members stormed in, their faces twisted in a grotesque display of rage and vengeance, their energies a swirling vortex of darkness that threatened to consume all that it touched.

In the blink of an eye, the fortune teller's figure flickered and vanished, leaving Orion and Vale standing alone, the echoes of the prophecy still reverberating in their minds, a chilling prelude to the cataclysmic battle that was about to unfold. As they braced themselves, a newfound resolve ignited within them, a fiery determination to face the darkness, to protect their world and each other, no matter the cost.

Their resolve was met with the cold, merciless gaze of Draven, who stepped forward from the group of intruders, his aura emanating a darkness so profound it seemed to absorb the very light around him. His eyes, voids that threatened to swallow all hope and light, locked onto theirs with a predatory intensity.

With a voice that seemed to crawl from the deepest, most forsaken corners of the earth, he uttered a phrase that held the gravity of an impending storm, a promise of inevitable, all-consuming darkness:

"Your final dawn has arrived."
