Capítulo 159: Ch. 159: Roshi's Island
"Why did it come to this!?" I shouted as I parried Hercule's fist and countered with a hard knee to the gut that sent the man sprawling, unconscious.
"Why are you asking me!?" Krillin shouted back as he dodged Yamcha's leg, hesitating to counterattack.
"Whatever's going on, they're not any weaker than normal! When did everyone get so strong!?" Gohan wondered aloud. We'd been at Roshi's for the party, along with basically all of the Z-fighters except for Nappa, and Piccolo. Videl and her father had just shown up when Marron and Krillin had decided to go diving, so I'd decided that Gohan and I would join them. While we'd been underwater, Garlick Jr. had struck, spreading his Black Water Mist all across the planet.
Immediately, while still underwater, I'd contacted Chelsea through Shay. According to Chelsea, things at Legacy itself were fine for the most part.
None of the Core Girls I'd brought on as staff had been affected, and their alibi was that they'd been taking a dip in a nearby lake. This meant that the only ones at Legacy who had been affected were the trainees, and Nappa, who was apparently currently in some sort of awesome showdown with Piccolo in the skies above the complex.
I wasn't so sure that those two fighting so close to Legacy would be fine like Chelsea said, but if she expected Piccolo to win, then I'd trust her discretion.
As for Roshi's island, that was a totally different story. They'd all been affected. Tien, Chiaotzu, Roshi, Mr. Satan, Videl, Bulma, Chichi, Yamcha, Raditz, and for some reason Pigero'd flown off in a random direction and begun emitting a shocking level of energy. Shay and I had come to the conclusion that he was trying to use energy from the Earth, like a spirit bomb, in order to cleanse himself of the negative energy that was trying to take control of his mind. It'd probably work, given time, but it was already beginning to whip the weather nearby into a frenzy.
Since Gohan and Krillin had no idea what had just happened, we'd gone back to Roshi's island, confused, only to be immediately attacked by our friends and family.
"Krillin, Krillin, save me! There's a pervy old man everywhere I look!" Marron screeched. I looked over. Master Roshi had managed to slip by Krillin using the afterimage technique.
"I'm sorry, Roshi!" I shouted as I shot an energy wave at his back, only for the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up.
"Double Sunday!"
"Tri Beam Ha!"
"What the!?" I turned on Silver Mode to escape from Chiaotzu's grasp as Tien and Raditz both blasted out energy beams that left a crater where I'd just been. "That was close!"
"They're actually trying to kill us!" Krillin shouted, grappling with Roshi.
"Gohan, help me out here!" I shouted at my brother as I fought Raditz, Tien, who was shouting "FIGHT ME!" over and over again, and Chiaotzu at the same time.
"I'm a little busy!" Gohan replied. I looked back at him and almost facepalmed. He was fighting both Videl and Chichi at the same time, and seriously struggling with it.
"We can bring Cargo over here later to heal them! Don't worry about hurting them a little bit!" I advised as I kicked Tien in the face, causing him to splash right into the ocean.
"Oh, you did it now!" Chiaotzu shouted at me, "Dodon ray! Dodon Dodon Dodon!" He shout four Dodon rays at me in quick succession. I blocked the first two with my arms, but the last two got me, causing me to let my guard down and take Raditz's knee to my gut, throwing me into- and through the Kame house.
"Hanna!" Gohan shouted after me.
"I'm fine!" I replied. 'Really annoyed now, though.' I added in my head as I barely dodged Raditz's Saturday Crush from above. Then a second and third time as he brought it back around, like Yamcha's Spirit Ball, creating holes in the earth as I rolled around to dodge them.
"I can't hit them! Mom, Videl, please listen to me! Why are you doing this?!" Gohan pleaded.
"Gohan, don't let down your guard!"
"Get out of my WAY!" I shouted at Raditz, blasting up from the ground and headbutting him in the gut, sending him flying. It wouldn't actually knock him out, but he'd be out of the fight for a while.
I rushed back to Gohan's side, but I was horrified by what I saw when I got there.
Gohan's heart was more than pure enough to ride the Nimbus, so I hadn't been sure if it'd be possible to affect him with it, but I hadn't wanted to take that risk, with how stupid strong he was. Unfortunately for me, the Black Water Mist seeped into every pore of one's being. It didn't matter how good-hearted you were, it found something and turned it into a selfish, evil impulse. Gohan'd let his guard down, and there was a bite mark on his neck as his eyes began to turn a sickening pink color, like the others' had done. Gohan had been affected by the black water mist, and as soon as we locked eyes, it was clear that his target was me.

"Dammit, Nappa, just calm down! I don't want to fight you!" Piccolo shouted, his skin covered in a silver hue as he dodged an energy barrage from Nappa, which destroyed the forest below. "You're going to destroy the whole place!" Not even Piccolo was thoughtless enough to allow Nappa to destroy the Legacy compound below them, which made fighting Nappa, who was impressively strong, even more difficult.
"No... I'm just going to destroy you!" Nappa shouted, his own Grey Mode activated. Unfortunately for Piccolo, almost everyone had learned the technique to some extent over the course of the last ten months, so his superior grasp of it wasn't as much of an edge as he wanted.
"Urgh... Gohan... Sorry, Nappa, but I can't hold back against you anymore!" Piccolo shouted, amping his power up even more.
