Capítulo 133: Ch. 133: The Limits of Energy Absorption

As Frieza reared his right fist back for the blow that would definitely finish me off, I screamed unintelligibly, unable to get out anything else due to the damage that the air forced out of my gut during Frieza's last punch had done to my voice box. But that was probably for the best. I wasn't going to be able to tell the others the name of this technique, anyways.

'Bergamo-Style Energy Crusher!' If that wolfman from the Ninth Universe could use the damage he'd taken from physical attacks and pump it out as his own power, then I could do it better. Channeling the energy from Frieza's gut punch into my damaged arms, I blasted the tyrant into the sky before collapsing to the ground, my legs not responding due to the damage that my internal organs had taken.

"Hanna!" Gohan cried out, kneeling to the ground and grabbing me by the shoulder in fear. But there wasn't a point in him doing it. While I'd live if I were left alone to heal...

"Gohan... Grab Uncle... and get out of here..." I struggled to get the words out, but knowing Gohan as well as I did, my guess on what he'd said next was totally accurate.

"Not gonna happen! I can't leave you here!" Gohan exclaimed passionately, holding me in his arms.

"Gohan... he's coming back... for me. Uncle... finish the... Spirit Bomb." I told them both in fragments, unable to get more than a few words out at a time.

"Gohan, she's right. We need... to go." Raditz agreed with me, struggling to his feet and spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"What are you saying!?" Gohan shouted at Raditz, appalled.

"We can't help her. Frieza's too powerful and we're out of energy... I can barely stand. The Spirit Bomb comes first." Raditz told his nephew, a tear rolling down his cheek. Despite his prioritizing, I could tell that the feeling of helplessness was just eating him alive.

"Mhm..." Gohan barely reacted. He knew that we were right, but his heart screamed against it.

"Aww... Poor child. His family, or his life? Decide with your heart, or your head? Which will you do?" A cold voice echoed behind Gohan and Raditz, causing them both to whip their heads around. Naturally, the source of the voice was Frieza, having landed softly on the ground behind them while they'd been focused on me. Unsurprisingly, he was totally unaffected by my full-powered blast.

"I suppose it doesn't matter now. You all die now." Frieza said casually, raising another finger for his Death Beam and pointing it at me. "I wonder... can you absorb this? When you're too weak to even stand up?! Hahahahaha!" As Frieza loosed his Death Beam, something happened.

"KAIOKEN!"

Suddenly, there were two people between the tyrant and myself, and the beam of light had been redirected harmlessly into the sky.

"Vegeta. Thank you for trying to protect my daughter... but he's mine now." Vegeta had tried to protect me for some reason, rushing into the path of the beam, which had been traveling too fast for him to even see, but in an unexpected turn of events...

"Daddy!?"

"Brother!?"

"Kakarot!?"

We all exclaimed in surprise, except for me, who was in too much pain to vocalize my shock. My dad had finally stepped foot onto the battlefield. And he was clearly not happy.

...

"Kakarot..." Something was different in the other Saiyan, Vegeta could feel it. His power... it had seemed limitless in the moment that he'd used that Kaio-ken technique. And he was angry. He'd deflected the energy blast that Vegeta had been prepared to almost die taking with a single hand.]

Could Kakarot have truly become... "A... Super Saiyan?" Vegeta muttered to himself as my dad began to speak.

"Everyone. Get out of here. This guy's mine." My dad barked.

"O-okay, dad." knowing full-well how useless he'd be against Frieza in his exhausted state, Gohan agreed readily. He trusted his father, no matter what. He and Raditz readily began to fly off, but Frieza didn't want to let them.

"You honestly think that I'll allow you to escape that easily? Just because one more monkey appeared?!" Raising his hand, Frieza tossed an energy ball towards Raditz and Gohan, only to have it deflected harmlessly into the air by Goku.

"Not this time."

Shrugging, Frieza moved on. The Spirit Bomb above had already harmlessly dissipated into thin air, so he had nothing to worry about from the likes of those two. This new person intrigued him more now. "One monkey or a baker's dozen, it doesn't matter. You'll all die in the end either way. Then, I'll destroy this planet."

"You should leave this place now. Do that, or I can't be responsible for what happens to you next." My dad offered Frieza, making the lizard-man guffaw.

"Are you threatening me!? Lord Frieza, the emperor of the universe!? What kind of stupid joke is that?!" Frieza couldn't help but laugh at this new Saiyan's guts, making such a proclamation. Just because he could swat away a few half-hearted energy attacks meant nothing in the end. Were the girl still mobile, she could likely do the same thing with her accursed absorption power, but she didn't stand a chance against even a nominal effort made by Frieza when he was powered up this much.

"I can sense your power. I have to admit, it's definitely no joke, but you'll be singing a different tune once we actually start fighting, Frieza. I can't guarantee that you'll survive if you don't walk away right now." Goku told the Frost Demon coolly.

"Alright, then. I've never met a fighter so calm when faced with absolute power... despite that girl over there. What is your name, monkey? I'll make sure to remember it once I reduce you to space dust, as a testament to your level head... or foolishness." Frieza asked my dad, staring intently at his face as if he'd seen it before.

"My name is Goku. I'm a Saiyan, raised on the planet Earth. And I'm going to end your reign of terror right here and now, Frieza!"
