Rose Hotel, Shui Bing'er's Room
The next morning, Su Bai woke up, but Shui Bing'er was still asleep beside him. Last night had been exhausting for her, being her first time. Su Bai's strength was too overwhelming for her. Initially, she tried to keep up, wanting to satisfy Su Bai, but soon realized his stamina far surpassed hers. Eventually, she had to plead for mercy, and Su Bai, considering it was her first time, let her rest.
Feeling the long leg draped over him, Su Bai chuckled to himself. Shui Bing'er's sleeping posture was quite exaggerated, a stark contrast to her usual icy demeanor.
He touched her leg gently, the soft sensation stirring a reaction in him. Shui Bing'er woke up abruptly, feeling the movement.
"Brother Bai, please spare me. I really don't have any strength left," she pleaded, her voice still heavy with exhaustion. Last night's activities had left her sore and tired.
Su Bai feigned a troubled look, "But Bing'er, you know it's hard for a man to hold back."
"Who knew you were so formidable in that aspect?" Shui Bing'er replied helplessly, looking at him with resignation.
Su Bai laughed, and after a moment of hesitation, Shui Bing'er finally gave in.
Hours later, Shui Bing'er lay exhausted on the bed, feeling utterly spent. Su Bai's vigor was simply too much for her.
"Don't look at me like that," Su Bai said, amused by her weary expression. "To make up for it, I have a gift for you."
"A gift?" Shui Bing'er's interest was piqued. Knowing Su Bai's capabilities, she was curious about what he had in store.
"I have a way to make your martial soul evolve," Su Bai said with a mysterious smile.
Shui Bing'er was astonished. "Brother Bai, isn't the martial soul fixed at the time of awakening? Can it really evolve?"
"Yes, theoretically, it's fixed. But I have my ways," Su Bai replied confidently.
Shui Bing'er blinked, finding it hard to believe. She had never heard of martial souls evolving after awakening.
"Close your eyes," Su Bai instructed, not bothering to explain further. He would prove it through action.
Shui Bing'er obediently closed her eyes. Su Bai then used the Martial Soul Evolution Card on her.
"Alright, you can open your eyes now," Su Bai said after a moment.
Shui Bing'er opened her eyes, not feeling any immediate difference. Su Bai, noticing her confusion, smiled and said, "Summon your martial soul."
She nodded and summoned her martial soul.
"What is this?" Shui Bing'er was shocked, her eyes widening at the sight. Her martial soul, originally a pure white Ice Phoenix, had transformed into a phoenix engulfed in blue flames.
"My martial soul really evolved?" Shui Bing'er was stunned. She was intimately familiar with her martial soul, the top-tier Ice Phoenix. Now, it had evolved into something even more powerful—the Undying Ice Phoenix.
The blue flames surrounding the phoenix were extremely cold, capable of freezing anything they touched instantly. Moreover, the flames had a healing effect, true to the name "Undying." Shui Bing'er, originally a control-type soul master, now also had auxiliary abilities.
"Brother Bai!" Shui Bing'er exclaimed, straddling Su Bai's waist, her legs wrapped around him. "How did you do it?"
"It's a secret," Su Bai said playfully, then smirked. "Bing'er, do you know the consequences of provoking me?"
Shui Bing'er was puzzled for a moment, but then felt something hard pressing against her, and her face turned crimson as she realized what he meant.
Su Bai flipped her over, pinning her beneath him.
"Brother Bai..." Shui Bing'er's eyes became misty, her cheeks flushed as they resumed their intimate encounter.
A few days later, the National Elite Soul Master Competition resumed. Su Bai accompanied Bibi Dong to watch the matches.
"Senior Su, you're here! Please take a seat!" Emperor Xue Ye greeted him warmly as soon as he arrived.
Su Bai nodded slightly and took a seat next to Ning Fengzhi, with Bibi Dong beside him. Emperor Xue Ye, seeing this, did not push further, understanding the high status Su Bai held.
Emperor Xue Ye must have learned about Su Bai's formidable strength from Ning Fengzhi, but Su Bai wasn't interested in aligning with the Heaven Dou Empire. He knew Bibi Dong harbored ambitions to unify the Douluo Continent, and as her man, he would inevitably stand against the empire.
"The next match is Blazing Academy versus Tianshui Academy!" the announcer declared, capturing Su Bai's attention.
Blazing Academy—if he recalled correctly, Huo Wu was a member of this academy. Sure enough, he spotted a tall, beautiful woman with dark red, wavy hair and a striking figure. She wore a gold and red team uniform, exuding confidence and strength.
On stage, Huo Wu eyed Shui Bing'er with determination. Although Shui Bing'er's fourth soul ring was a ten-thousand-year soul ring, Blazing Academy still held the upper hand overall. If she and her brother, Huo Wushuang, could stall Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu, preventing them from using their martial soul fusion technique, victory was within their grasp.
After a glance at her brother, Huo Wushuang understood Huo Wu's plan.
When both sides revealed their martial souls, Huo Wu was taken aback. Shui Bing'er's Ice Phoenix had transformed, now surrounded by blue flames.
Despite Huo Wu's efforts to disrupt Shui Bing'er and Xue Wu's fusion technique, the evolved martial soul and the ten-thousand-year soul ring gave Shui Bing'er a decisive edge. Tianshui Academy defeated Blazing Academy with ease, securing another victory.
