Capítulo 62: Chapter 62 Trouble

In a luxurious room, Qian Renxue and Hun Yu sat across from each other, while Yunfeng lay asleep on the bed.

"Let me explain," she began, meeting Hun Yu's gaze before delving into her tale.

She began with her background: Qian Renxue of Spirit Hall, daughter of the previous pope, and granddaughter of a Level 99 Limit Douluo.

She then spoke of Spirit Hall's ambitious plan to conquer the Heaven Dou Empire.

Hun Yu listened, not in shock but with sadness.

Hun Yu reached out, gently taking her hand. "Don't worry, I'm here for you."

Blushing, she felt the urge to pull away, but an inner voice stopped her.

After a moment, Hun Yu released her hand. "How can I help with your plan?" he inquired. He didn't want to be idle while she worked. He wanted to contribute.

"Do you think I need help?" she retorted, reverting to her usual confident demeanor.

Hun Yu wasn't disheartened by her response. He understood her nature, recognizing her reluctance to accept help. Her pride and self-assuredness were evident.

He smiled, "Okay then, if you feel like you need some assistance, you can call me. Until then, I'll focus on cultivation."

She nodded, "Hmm, it's good to see you're no longer lazing around and are focusing on cultivating spirit power."

Just as she was about to leave, she remembered that Hun Yu possessed a sword-type ability, and he didn't seem proficient in using it.

"Um... Uncle She Long will teach you how to use the sword. You don't need to waste time learning on your own."

She left after saying this.

"Is she referring to that Title Douluo with the spear?" he pondered.

 ...

A woman wearing a dress so magnificent it could make others feel inferior at just a glance held a staff in her hand.

"Lord High Priestess, what was the Sea God's message?" asked a rugged-looking man. He was shirtless, wearing only blue trousers adorned with various tattoos.

The woman glanced at the man and the others behind him before replying, "The Sea God wishes for Sea Dragon Douluo to journey to the mainland."

Upon hearing this, Sea Dragon Douluo looked puzzled. "Why does the Sea God want me to go there?"

Before he could voice further questions, Bo Saixi interjected, "The Sea God also mentioned that the heir he has chosen, named Tang San, resides on the mainland. Sea Dragon, your duty will be to protect this heir until he is ready to inherit."

Upon hearing this, Sea Dragon Douluo's expression transformed into one of joy. The other guardians of the holy pillar looked at him with envy.

"I will set out for the mainland immediately, Lord High Priestess," he declared, then promptly departed.

"What a rare opportunity! To witness the rise of the future Sea God firsthand – what greater honor could one desire?"

 ...

"Mom! Mom!"

She looked at Yunfeng sitting on the table in front of the mirror, inspecting his hair.

"Hmm," she hummed, engrossed in the documents she was reading.

"Why isn't my hair entirely golden? Why are the tips black? I want it all golden like yours."

She put down the documents and stood behind Yunfeng.

acting jealous, she said,"Isn't it special, Yun'er, to have two colors while I have only one?"

Hearing that, Yunfeng stood up. "Hehe, I have a unique two-color that no one else has."

She ruffled his hair and returned to her seat, resuming her reading.

In the training area, Hun Yu was sweating. An old man stood before him, brandishing a wooden sword.

"I don't know how you managed to earn the young master's trust, but don't expect me to go easy on you," said She Long. He wasn't sure how Hun Yu had charmed the young master, but since it was the young master's order to teach him swordplay, he complied.

"The young master told me not to remove your blindfold, so you must observe my moves through it," She Long said.

With that, he swung his sword in what appeared to be a random pattern, though there was an underlying order to it. Hun Yu observed intently.

After She Long finished, he remarked, "If you've understood, then good. I won't show it again."

Hun Yu nodded, took his wooden sword, and attempted to replicate She Long's technique.

She Long observed with a smirk. "How do you expect to master the great sword technique of the Spirit Hall just by observing?"

"It took me years to perfect," She Long added, recounting his struggles and hardships.

Although Hun Yu couldn't execute the sword technique perfectly, he still managed to grasp some of its essence.

After practicing for hours, as the sun began its descent, he made his way back to his room.

Upon entering, he noticed Qian Renxue seated at her table, deeply engrossed in paperwork, her head cradled in her hand.

Approaching her gently, he remarked, "It's getting late. You've been at this paperwork since morning. Perhaps it's time to rest."

Startled by his voice, she looked up, nodding slightly. "Yes, you're right." She set aside her documents, stretched her weary limbs, and then met Hun Yu's gaze. "How was your training today?"

"It went well," he replied with a smile.

With that, she moved to lie beside Yun Feng, closing her eyes in exhaustion.

Hun Yu observed her for a moment, wondering if she had drifted off. The weight of the day pressed on him too, and before he realized it, he too was lost in a deep slumber.

 ...

"What? She brought an unidentified man into the prince's mansion?"

Bibi Dong scrutinized the report from her spy within the Heaven Duo Empire.

"Hmmph. Given her demeanor, how could she possibly take a liking to a man? He's likely just another one of her pawns," she mused, pushing the unsettling thoughts aside. "I can only hope she doesn't jeopardize my entire plan for this insignificant pawn."

Turning her attention to Ghost Douluo, who stood by her side, she inquired sharply, "Have you located him?"

Ghost Douluo, looking visibly shaken, replied, "Your Majesty, the Pope, we've searched everywhere but found no trace of him."

Bibi Dong had half-anticipated such a response. "And what of Hu Leina? Has she discovered anything?"

"No, Saint Hu hasn't found any signs of Hun Yu either. It's as if he vanished from existence," Ghost Douluo answered, his voice quivering.

Enraged, Bibi Dong slammed her hand down on her throne. For two years, she had been relentlessly searching for Hun Yu, yet he remained elusive.

While there was a chance he might be dead, nothing was certain.

And now, with her daughter's reckless actions, her meticulously crafted plan was at risk.

She took a deep breath. "I should stick to the plan," she murmured.

Under the angel statue atop Spirit Hall,

"Brother, Little Xuer didn't even bother to tell us about her little baby. Should we go and teach her a lesson for hiding things from the elders?" said the Golden Crocodile Douluo to Angel Douluo, the grandfather of Qian Renxue.

"Keep patience. Let her tell us about this on her own. She's a big girl now. I'm also dying to see my great-grandson," said Qian Daoliu.

 ...

Inside a carriage heading towards the palace, three individuals were seated.

One was an old man with dark green hair and beard, eyes shimmering like emeralds. He wore simple, unadorned grey robes, his hands tucked into the sleeves.

Another was tall, slim, and elderly, with black hair and a rosy expression.

The third was a young man with longer hair, tied back in a low ponytail. Bangs framed his neat, handsome face.

"We are about to arrive. Be prepared for anything," Tang San said, having readied himself for the worst-case scenario.

His concealed weapons were primed, and everything was in place. An old poison and a title douluo accompanied him; failure seemed unlikely.

Soon, the carriage halted at their destination. As they stepped out, they were met with a sea of stationed knights.

Making their way towards the entrance, Tang San whispered to the old poison, "Have you seen these knights before?"

Shaking his head, the old poison replied, "No, I haven't."

Continuing their approach, they were suddenly halted by royal knights.

"Out of the way!" Dugu bo demanded. "We have urgent matters to report to His Majesty."

One of the knights, eyeing Dugu Bo, responded, "His Majesty is resting. The Crown Prince has ordered that no one may enter. Disobey, and you'll face death!"

The threat was emphasized as the knights raised their spears defensively. Dugu Bo, visibly irritated, retorted, "Do you not see the gold token in my hand?"

Just as Dugu Bo prepared to confront the knight, Tang San intervened.

Approaching the knight, he whispered, "This is the Crown Prince's token." He leaned in, ensuring only the knight could hear, "The situation has changed. The Crown Prince desires our entry. Allow us through."

Confused, the knight hesitated before eventually yielding, allowing Tang San, Dugu Bo, and Yang Wudi to proceed towards the chamber where the emperor rested.
